I cried when Russian smile again 1st time and the 1st time Senor wearing the baby hat.Senor Pink backstory is type of story that its stuck with u long time,if u notice everything happen after the backstory end to the point Senor Pink pass out..nothing else really matter like the battle of Diamante and Kyros, because your mind still thinking about Senor Pink..I think maybe u guy missed the detail that the doc tell him that even doc not sure how long her body gonna last,in current time high probably Russian already passed..He looking at the sky hearing her voice calling "Anata" that's for me give it away.

Oda did want to include Senior Pink's backstory in the manga but his editor insisted on it. Goes to show how many backstories Oda has in store that could probably top those existing ones.

One of the best backstories. I thought of him as just another character with a goofy design but its more to him than that and we get the reason why he looks the way he does. I like how we never expected these backstories from the family and they're so great like Baby 5 backstory which was super short but also sad. Now y'all see why everyone likes Señor Pink. I wasn't too crazy about the fight with him and Franky but after these episodes he gets all the respect 🐐

Diamante's antagonizing personality is meant to play into his design as a spanish matador, he instigates you to attack just to dodge you last second exactly like in a bullfight. Many of Doffy's executives have things about them that are meant to stir your emotions in battle and get you to slip up. Trebol is gross with a stupid voice and never shuts up. Diamante talks shit and plays dirty to get you flustered and upset. Pica's voice is self-explanatory and may unintentionally throw you off guard leaving you open to attack. They all work in tandem with Doffy's powers of manipulation, as Law even admitted that's their main tactic when fighting as a group.

Senor Pink's backstory wasn't originally gonna be included in the story but one of Oda's editors at the time convinced him otherwise and it turned out to be a major highlight of the whole arc

GOD i love one piece, the story telling/emotion mixed with the wackyness and absurdity is just so unique and just works. Ya the pacing in the anime is painful sometimes, and sometimes things are silly/make little sense (one piece physics for example) butt he end product just ends up being so enjoyable and unique, nothing really is like it.

Senor Pink's backstory is such a nice touch on the arc. A big highlight.

By the way, and someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but Oda almost didn’t include Pink’s back story. However, when his editor saw it, it actually made him cry and he convinced Oda to keep it in the canon story.
