Following what you said @43:13, that’s what I think a lot of newer anime are missing. A lot of the times the worlds don’t feel lived in, so I don’t be as invested in what’s at risk. Anime canon & movie filler did nothing but help classics like Dragon Ball Z elevate what’s already great.
