Anyone know if they ever talked about their favorite parts/jojos in a stream or post?
In this new universe, there was no JoJo fighting vampires, Dio, and stand users. This is an entire new universe. So no Dio taking over Jonathan's body which means no Stand awakening for the Joestars. I am glad to have rewatch this entire series with you guys! Edit: Yooo theyre going to watch DRAGON BALL!!!!!!!!!!!! LETS GOOOO
Cant wait for Kishibe Rohan ultra bizarre adventure
This is the end to Dio's curse saga. At the beguining when you started to watch Jojo, I predicted part 4 would be Michelle's favorite and part 5 Ron's. Kinda happy guessed it almost right. Michelle seems to like part 4 and 5 evenly. If you want to extend the journey, there's a special on Netflix about Rohan Kishibe. Detective style stories, 4 épisodes.
watch rohan ova and you're overthinking watch part 7 ep 1 it's so epic
Araki's post stone ocean afterword translated below!!! """ To tell the truth, I don't have much to comment on in this afterword. In terms of Stand abilities (speaking from my own perspective), it felt at the time like I had drawn all that I needed to in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean, and I felt a sense of creative satisfaction at the thought that, perhaps, I had reached the pinnacle of my ideas. Time itself was getting faster and faster and outpacing human senses, approaching infinity itself, or at least as close to infinity as possible. I thought to myself then that no Stand ability could ever surpass it. There was nothing more incredible I could draw. My ideas had indeed reached their pinnacle. I've always believed that a sense of satisfaction or accomplishment is a dangerous feeling. To put it bluntly, speaking as a human being and a manga artist, the situation that arises from thinking that everything's turned out alright and nothing more needs to be done is a dangerous thing, for the development of society and civilization, for science, for philosophy, and especially for art. It's like a love that has burned itself out, an Ashita no Joe with no more battles to fight. We all work to achieve something, to find satisfaction, but what do we do after that? That was the contradictory feeling I had when I finished Stone Ocean. The protagonist, Jolyne Cujoh, lacked the love from her father that she so desperately sought, which led to her involvement in a car accident and her incarceration. But then, by trying to save her father, she grows as a woman. The story of her growth as a protagonist is complete. What do we do now? I felt much the same way about the process of creating the manga itself. In other words, there's nothing left to draw. It's over. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has reached its peak. That is Stone Ocean. The end. No, it still doesn't feel quite right. Maybe I'm just conceited, but this is still no good. That feeling of having accomplished something is a problem in and of itself. The red light's flashing. What can I do? What can I possibly do? And then it hit me. We'll go back to the root. The Italian Renaissance was inspired by a return to ancient Greek and Roman concepts. The French painter Gauguin created a new painting by returning to nature in Tahiti. We'll make the Stand ability of the main villain, Father Pucci, even more powerful. That way, time, the protagonists, and the bloodline itself can make a full cycle of the universe and return to their origin. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure will abandon modern civilization and return to nature. That is the end of Stone Ocean, which was changed and redrawn at the last minute. Moreover, it also brought out a sense of nostalgia. Jolyne Cujoh's memories are different, but her love and affection will remain and become eternal, and she will surely continue to grow and move forward. Speaking of which... As I finished Part 6, I had a thought: the protagonist of the next part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Part 7, should be a protagonist who fights against nature, but also learns from nature and grows as a person as a result. Would Steel Ball Run (tentative) be a good title? Under normal circumstances, I probably wouldn't have said or written any of this. But it's an afterword written by the author. The afterword is what it is. """ - Araki
Pucci explaining how everyone will know their fate/future gives me chills bc it's just him venting about his trauma when perla died. Instead of fighting past what happened with him, perla, and weather, he assumes the best outcome was just simply being aware of it in advanced, so he could have time to come to terms with it :') dude literally projected his trauma upon the entire world lol
Can’t wait for y’all to meet the best JoBro imo
please watch the first sbr episode
Great end to this part! Pls don't watch any Dragon Ball series in dub, the VAs and ost sound childish
I think it's better if you guys wait until they start making SBR episodes weekly before watching episode 1 but then again it's your guys' choice. I just think it'll kind of kill the hype if you watch the first episode and then have to wait an undefined amount of time for the rest.
Sad fun fact, Foo Fighters cannot exist now because Pucci was the one who created her
Just realizing how perfect the ending theme of this Part will tie into them starting Steins;Gate!! XD
Also kinda relevant to what's going on in TYBW!
Since Michelle asked how we can conceptualize the cyclical universe theory I'll try with the version I know best created by Roger Penrose(PhysicsNoblePrizeWinner). He says to imagine the beginning of the universe from the moment before/during the BigBang, the universe is essentially just hot massless(timeless) concentrated radiation. He then says to imagine the inevitable end of the universe once all of the matter in the universe has been sucked into black holes and the universe has expanded into essentially just cold massless(timeless) dissipated radiation. He then proposes that if you take time out of the equation to account for that, the beginning of the universe and the end look the exact same just scaled up/down-and without time and mass, the scale becomes relative. Kinda like when you see a plane in a blank sky you cant actually tell how big or how fast it is moving, but on a universal scale!
With the ending its important to know that Araki reset the universe in JoJo’s because he felt he had reached the creative peak of the original storyline, particularly with stand abilities which ties into what you guys think in how this is the most creative and complex part in terms of stands, and wanted to avoid the pressure of surpassing that standard of how high he'd reached for this complex creativity so he sought to liberate himself from the constraints of the established lore, modern-day settings, and the heavy legacy of the Joestar bloodline, allowing for a almost reboot/restart of the series and so this is the end of the JoJo story within this universe and Part 7 is a completely different timeline etc with little similarities of characters we know from this timeline like names and designs but they are not related at all. I really love how Araki too this route with Emporio and Pucci to achieve a point where he can literally restart his series in any way shape or fashion so glad you guys loved the ending as much as most!
michelle got it exactly right 😭, for the ending its a universe where pucci never existed. all the events before part 6 still happened but nothing in part 6 happened. since there is no more evil in the world. pucci no longer exists in that universe. but everyone is still dead, jolyne, jotaro, ermes, everyone else is still dead. thats why they have different names, it isnt actually them its like new people basically
please watch steel ball run
JoJo part 7 Steelball Run first 47-minute episode is out, and more is coming this fall. It will most likely be an 8-12 ep cour and then a break again so they can maintain the production quality. It's gonna be peak.
Stone Ocean has one of the best finales I’ve ever seen: the writing, the conclusion of the fate theme, Pucci’s ideology, and the sheer scale and stakes are insane. Pucci technically wins the fight, but he loses the bigger battle — he creates a new world only to be erased from it by Emporio. Jolyne finally escapes the Joestar fate, taking the name Irene so she’s no longer tied to the JoJo name ‘curse’, breaking free from the generational battle against evil brought upon them because of the JoJo name. And the symbolism of Pucci falling to his own brother’s Stand just ties everything together. Perfect ending
y'all should watch sbr
Congrats on finishing part 6! One cool connection in the final opening variant is the reference back to the opening in part 1. Not only does it return to the setting in part 1 but the Joestars appear in reverse with Jonathan counting down to Jolyne. It's hard to explain but I highly recommend checking out the first opening (or all the openings lol) again :)
Best jojo ending!
You should watch the 4 ep Rohan series on Netflix before SBR! But agree with everyone that you should watch the first ep of SBR since the universe has been reset.
Fun fact: Oingo Boingo from part 3 predicted that Jotaro would have his face split open be that’s how he would die. Don’t know if you remember the book that predicted things but it was one of the drawings in that book. It’s so cool that Araki tied Jotaro’s death back to that.
I like how Weather looks like he's punching Pucci down fo hell, i think that might be an intended metaphor, i could go on and on about this ending man The people want sbr now just watch it now then post on yt later
LIKE THIS IF YOU THINK THEY SHOULD WATCH THE FIRST EPISODE OF STEEL BALL RUN 👇🏽
It’s bittersweet. Emporio has has adopted family back but none of them know what happened and he’s has to live with that forever. It’s really a great ending
This part is the actual end of the main Jojo (1-6). Part 7 takes place in an alternate universe, which is separated from Part 6's ending. Basically, part 7 is a whole new series if you want to look at it like that.
"Jo" names came to indicate Joestars who had some sort of story to be told. So the change to 'Irene' signifies that she can just live out a peaceful, normal life without those hardships. And then even in said new universe in with normal lives the characters from part 6 still ended up meeting again. Because gravity/fate pulls them together again.
Yeah, this is the ending to Dio and Jojo's long ass battle against each other. Part 7 is a COMPLETELY different universe that isn't apart of anything Pucci related. He wanted to tell more Jojo so he just started fresh again with his new ideas, so keep that in mind. a lot of people think Steel Ball Run has something to do with Made in Heaven... just clearing things up. not spoilers at all, just something to clear up with confusion.
Definitely watch the first episode of steel ball run, it’s a 47 min special episode. Part 6 is the ending to the Joestar and Dio saga, Part 7 is a complete reboot.
Please watch jojo part 7 next already 😭
Skip dragon ball honestly. It’s great and so is Z. Classics and what a lot used for formula. But truthfully, based on what you guys like, I don’t believe you guys would enjoy it, especially given how old the animation is.
Dragon ball is way better in dub btw almost everyone I know watches the dub, no disrespect to the sub watchers of course
There's nothing wrong at all with waiting to watch episode 1 of part 7... but imo yall should just watch it, mostly because I just really want to see it hahah. But with that being said, it might be good to take aa quick break and instead watch the Rohan series. It's very short (4 episodes) but REALLY good. Then move on to Part 7 episode 1
This part is the ending to this jojo universe, part 7 is a completely new one. Parts 1-6 was the first jojo universe and part 7 and after is a completely new thing that has nothing to do with parts 1-6, part 7 also has nothing to do with the new universe at the end of part 6 with Irene. Think of part 7 as a part 1 of a completely new jojo universe, Araki ended the first universe and wanted a fresh start so he created parts 7-9. Even though it feels wrong, watchers/readers can technically jump straight to part 7 without watching the previous parts, I wouldn't recommend it but because of the fresh start they could.
Part 3 was supposed to be where the series ended with the defeat of DIO Without spoiling Part 7 details Part 6 IS the end of the story that's why its sad, why the OP and ED was like that, (they brought back freaking roundabout)
You guys should watch SBR. It's a special episode they combined 2 episodes in 1. It's worth it you guys have to watch it like srsly.
You guys should most definitely watch the first episode simply because of the way its structured of being 47 minutes long and the ending not leaving you in a random spot wondering what's happening. Just hope you guys consider so we can get one more jojo episode!
In the final scene,it's said that the rain describes F.F.😭
dragon ball is pretty fire but for z please watch kai and not the original, its wayyy too long. also the dub is way better than the sub
please watch dragon ball in dub. the sub is trash
Strongly disagree.
Pucci actually won btw. Thats the crazy part he actually clapped the main character and reset the whole universe reseting the joestar bloodline. Also meaning every part we have watched doesnt exist anymore and basically means nothing going fowards.
Everything that happened before part 6 still happened, only the events of part 6 didn't happen because Pucci doesn't exist in this universe
peakkk
Best jojo part ending ever.
I think yall should watch the first steel ball run episode, it's about 47 minutes and it's basically the first arc. Even tho it sucks that we have to wait until fall for the rest of the cour to come, the first episode leaves of in a place that makes you feel like you finished an arc and it doesn't leave us in a random place.
Nice
STEEL BALL RUN HERE WE COME!!!!!!
Best ending to a jojo part yet
