BLEACH TYBW EPISODES 29 & 30 REACTION 🔥

Man, I'm mad that y'all were spoiled about the information about Hell! You're definitely not supposed to know that info yet! It's literally unveiled after the TYBW arc! Oh well, what's done is done. Almost all the stuff you see in this episode vastly expands on the manga. Ichigo vs Juha is way shorter in the manga, as is Ichigo vs Uryu. In fact, Ichigo definitely wasn't donuted in the manga. Uryu shoots at Ichigo's feet and the floor collapses and Ichigo falls through. That was the act in the manga that made Uryu acknowledged by Juha's royal guard (you can see why Kubo told the anime studio to change things lol). Ukitake's backstory is so sad, and he is so noble 😢🫡 I do wish we got more of his backstory here. One of the TYBW anime's biggest weaknesses is that the pacing can be too fast. Don't get me wrong, I like all the hype stuff, but this backstory was like half an episode, which did a lot for Ukitake's character, but give us more. Having said all that, that biggest weakness isn't even that big lol Forgot to mention that, as y'all saw and mentioned, Juha's Almighty ability isn't all-powerful as he cannot see the Soul King's future. So, very broken ability, but it does have that weakness

Ishida isn’t winning because he suddenly became stronger than everyone in Squad Zero physically. Quincy abilities are very hax-based in Bleach, and Yhwach specifically chose Ishida for a reason. The series later explains why he can compete at that level. Dont worry it will be answered. Think of Ishida as having a matchup-type ability rather than pure raw power.

Ishida thought it was only that one event but then he learned that after the original Quincy annihilation, the Shinigami came back centuries later to finish the job. The Quincy are his people that he take’s so much pride in. After learning all of those thing’s of course he would feel that mutual understanding is impossible and desire vengeance.

In the conversation between Ichibe and Yhwach, Ichibe told him that he wouldn't let him have the left arm for free, and that's when The Almighty was sealed away. So in exchange for Yhwach taking the left arm, Ichibe sealed away his eyes. Yhwach doesn't have The Soul King's eyes, if you look, the Soul King still has his eyes.

Episode 3 is my personal favourite of cour 3 and the episode that set in stone Bleach being my fave anime, simply because of this Ukitake reveal. For someone who was backline or gets screentime once in a blue moon, his character has always delivered *something*, may it be lore or just wise words. Hell, he's mentioned even in the Fullbring arc during Ginjo's talk about the pass. When you think about it, it makes sense that someone who is gravely sick appears once in a while, so his entire existence fits perfectly into this big puzzle. Someone so seemingly insignificant is always adding something to the overall franchise one way or another. Episode 62 of OG Bleach around the 14 minute mark is what I'd recommend you two to watch again, just to see how well planned out this Ukitake reveal is. That's the moment Aizen leaves Soul Society and during his speech he mentions something without naming Ukitake. That moment comes full circle in this episode, but till then we had negative clues or hints about it. Just Aizen's parting speech to the Soul Reapers. Genius writing!

The reason why Uryuu was able to defeat Senjumara was because of his power "A" which Yhwach gave him. Also, despite what people may think, while Orihime doesn't have the attack power that Ichigo or some of the other heavy hitters in the Bleach universe has, her defensive power is within the same realm as them

A lot of Uryu's scenes such as his fight vs Senjumaru and his and Ichigo's fight are completely anime original additions to give Uryu more spotlight and Prescence in this arc. When these episodes were airing weekly it was a very common criticism that uryu's sudden power ups made no sense and that he shouldn't be this powerful. I myself don't mind it cuz he's the Sasuke of the series afterall, who we all know is the king of cap wins LMAO. Ukitake's multi minute flashback was also completely new for the anime. they just cant stop making peak changes.

Gotta remember the fact that when Ichigo was revealed a Quincy via Yhwach, ishida was nowhere to be seen. The reason he acted so surprised when he shot ichigo with an arrow and was able to be taken down when they fought was because ichigo’s Quincy abilities protected him and Ishida had no idea Ichigo was a Quincy. Another thing you can probably dissect from this is the fact that ishida is saying that he is fighting for the Quincy army simply because he is a Quincy, but then he shoots at Ichigo and discovers that he as well is a Quincy, so it goes against his argument. Combine those things and that’s what resulted in him being so shocked in that specific moment.

if you look at it from a story perspective Ishida and quincies do have a valid reason for this. they were shunned and didn’t get to fit into the world while the soul king watched and did nothing.

Last comment sorry, funny enough Kubo does have more detailed backstories for many characters. We learned this in Kluboutside, but for Kubo Bleach is the story of Ichigo so if he finds that the content isn't required he'll cut it. Characters like Yoruichi, Urahara, Rangiku and more have content that Kubo has in full but didn't share because he found it unnecessary. The interesting part is, because of how Kubo writes we as viewers get that sense of depth, as if we know there is more with almost every character and its simply a matter of whether Kubo will share it Also it was new information for Uryu, he technically only knew about the final conflict, not that the conflict has been happening for 1000 years.

It sounds like you guys were spoiled, Yhwach being able to chose the future hasn't been revealed yet, and the content regarding Captains going to Hell after death is from the One-Shot that happens after TYBW. Its not a huge deal but its regrettable that you got spoiled none the less.

[Tidbits Ep.30] - A key point to remember is that the Quincy inherently exist in a manner that negatively impacts the balance of the Soul Kings worlds and he made it that way (as far as we now). This truth plays a large role in why Yhwach and the Quincy would likely never find proper peace in the current world cause they were seemingly never meant to belong. - Visually speaking Uryu’s Vollstandig had one key component that stood out compared to the others, it seems that his began from his eyes. Additionally, he doesn't seem to have a Halo like the others. - This episode flashes back to Uryu reading that book under the bridge, interestingly enough fans had already went back to that moment and even here if you pause on the pages you can loosely see the name Adenyus - Sidenote: Thanks to the new editions in this episode, we now know that Ichigo can actually use his Quincy powers at will. (We never see Ichigo intentionally use Blut Vene in the manga [Reposted before watching]

Damn, someone spoiled you guys on Yhwach's powers. At this point, it was only revealed that he has the power to see the future. The extra context of being able to see multiple futures and reality-altering capabilities is only revealed later. This is a major blow as the setup towards that reveal was so good in the manga. Someone also spoiled the information on Hell based on Ukitake and Unohana's meeting? This just gets even worse by the minute. I disagree with Michelle on this. We do not need Aizen's backstory. The lack of it is what makes him mysterious, and it adds to the layers that build him as a character. As for his goals, we know how he wanted to rule the world as he thought that there was an unbearable vacancy at the top. He thinks that the Soul King is a "thing", and he wanted to take over him as a result, which is different to what Yhwach wants. There have been hints of Ukitake's connection with Mimihagi throughout the story. His eyebrows are black while his hair is white. There had to be a reason for it. Not to mention, when Aizen ascended towards Hueco Mundo in the Soul Society arc, he said something interesting. Ukitake asked him, "Have you fallen?" to which Aizen replied, " Neither I nor you, nor the gods stood at the top." When Aizen said "Nor you", the panel was a POV shot of him directly looking at Ukitake, hinting at his knowledge of Ukitake's history. And then we had a scene at the beginning of Cour 2 where Ukitake was praying to Mimihagi. We also had a scene towards the end of Cour 2 where a shadowy figure was behind Ukitake when he conversed with Shunsui. I love how Ukitake said, "No mercy even against a sickly person", to Kyoraku. The latter acts nonchalant but this line shines more light onto his other self. This dark nature of Kyoraku was depicted in the past when he killed Starrk, who definitely was not evil, even if he was on Aizen's side. Also, we did have a focus on Ukitake before. It's just that it was spread out throughout all the arcs. Michelle's need to have more story on several characters is what makes the worldbuilding so good in Bleach. The world is so enriched that we could have a story on many different things, but since we are following the story of Ichigo, we only get that perspective alongside a few additional bits here and there. Unfortunately, I don't think the One Piece way would have worked with Bleach. Bleach is a series filled with subtexts, and giving context to everything would have taken things away from the way that Bleach portrays the story. Fiction takes different ways to tell a story, and it is good that it is the case, otherwise it would become monotonous. IMO, Orihime could have healed the Soul King if she was a hybrid like Ichigo. If it takes a hybrid to kill the Soul King, then it would take one to heal him. As for Yoruichi, she did not know that Mimihagi would have played a part in this battle. And yet she had a seal that could hold the Soul King in place. So what was her original plan then? Without the interference of the Mimihagi, what was she going to do? Some interesting questions, to say the least. 40:13 Ishida was shocked to see Ichigo using Blut Vene, which is a Quincy technique. He does not know that Ichigo is a Quincy. I also love the emphasis being put on Ukitake fighting Yhwach through Mimihagi. It shows how Ukitake still has agency. 57:52 While we don't know what Uryu's powers are, we do know that it has the same letter A as Yhwach. This was revealed when Uryu drank Yhwach's blood as part of the ritual. 1:1:30 No, Ron, you are right. Chad and Ganju are not on the same plane as the Royal Guards. But it was not shown that they were on the same plane, though. The only time it happened was when Orihime blocked Gerard's slash, but Orihime is different compared to Chad and Ganju. Orihime's powers were described as something that rivals the Gods by Aizen.

[Tidbits Ep.29] - If you go back to when Aizen is leaving the Soul Society he speaks directly to Ukitake saying “Since The Beginning, no one has ever stood in the heavens, neither you, nor I, not even God himself” which now makes tons of sense seeing as though Jushiro houses part of “God” within himself. (This is also why I believe Wonderweiss immediately aims for Jushiro in Karakura town, as a creation wonderweiss was offensive against those who could be deemed a threat to Aizen’s ambition, but that’s just my theory) - Ukitake mentions “East 76 Rukon District, Sakahone” Interestingly enough, in Cour 1 of the TYBW we got to see the Original Gotei 13 Captains, one of which was a devious-looking, extremely old man who was the 13th division Captain (same as Ukitake) and his name is “Saizou Sakahone”. - It may seem like a throwaway line but it’s important to remember all we learn about the hands. The Left-Hand embodies Evolution, while the Right-Hand embodies Stillness and the Mimihagi deity they worship is the Soul King right-hand. - We already see that Yhwach’s broken ability has some blind spots. Yoruichi notes that Yhwach didn’t see the shadow coming (The Right-Hand), the question now is why? And how can they use it to their advantage if that’s even possible? - Pay attention to what Yhwach says will cease to exist, he intentionally named almost every single place in Bleach lore except one “Soul Society, Precipice World, Hueco Mundo and The World of the Living”. - Sidenote: Some aren’t aware of this but both Ukitake & Shunsui are from noble families. They aren’t from the great 5 Noble families but Ukitake is low nobility and Shunsui is high nobility - Sidenote 2: The scene with the guard and Aizen is a reminder that Aizen is a transcended being who has a ridiculous amount of Spiritual pressure, most things that come into contact with him will be obliterated.
