I think the canon episodes of Boruto are really good. Boruto and Naruto feel like they share the same universe but exist in completely different worlds. Naruto was more about human struggles, emotions, and large scale wars. Aliens weren’t the main focus, which is why we could connect so deeply and feel strong emotions throughout the series. Boruto, on the other hand, is totally different. From the very beginning, it has revolved around aliens and otherworldly threats. There hasn’t been a traditional war like in Naruto, and since the main enemies are aliens who lack human emotions, it’s natural that the story doesn’t evoke the same feelings. That doesn’t make it bad it’s just a different kind of story. Also, no single human character in naruto can defeat both Naruto and Sasuke. I don’t think they could have created a much better story than this for the sequel. I believe it will only get even better once the new season starts. One last thing I want to say about people calling it a “mid” series: The monthly Boruto manga has outperformed One Piece in digital views, sometimes ranking number 1 on Manga Plus and consistently staying in the top rankings. In general, it’s always in the top 10. We really shouldn’t judge Naruto and Boruto with the exact same standards.

Himawari is Goat She is still a descendant of the Otsutsuki and descendant of the Jinchuriki. She still has a long way to go on her journey to becoming a shinobi. Naruto, Hinata, and the Hyuga fam have given her the freedom to explore her other interests first (this is mentioned in one of the episodes you skipped). Meanwhile Boruto has already set his path as a ninja just like Sasuke
