Finally caught up with yall's OG Bleach reactions. Cried all over again watching the finale. You guys are awesome. Thank you so much for getting these videos back up. Now on to your TYBW reactions :)

Kubo finding a way to make us feel sad that the enemies are losing. Dude just knows storytelling and character development. I have my issues with this arc, but it is vastly underrated. Gotta say, great character development for Byakuya! He's so ride or die for Ichigo that his loyalty to him overrode his loyalty to Tsukishima (unlike Orihime and Chad; I'm only half-joking lol). The final battles in this arc remind me a lot of the final battles in Fishman Island arc in One Piece. Overall, the final battles were quite easy in order to show how far everyone had come with moderately difficult (at least compared to the rest of the fights) final battles for Ichigo and Luffy. Even Luffy and Ichigo's final opponents in these arcs received unnatural powerups with Hody overdosing on energy steroids and Ginjo stealing Ichigo's fullbring powers. Anyway, I look forward to your TYBW reactions. Thank God y'all didn't have to wait 10 years for TYBW lol

One thing I dislike about the ending of the Fullbring arc is how the studio blatantly changed the complexion of the scene. We already knew that there was some tension in the Soul Society due to their practices, despite Ichigo's efforts throughout the series. They purposefully sent captains to make sure of what Ichigo's decision was when he learned the truth. If Ichigo had sided with Ginjo after the reveal, the SS were willing to essentially kill him. With that in mind, in the manga, when Ichigo went to the SS to retrieve Ginjo's body, he gave a warning to the SS regarding their usage of the Combat Pass. But in the anime, they made it seem like he was happy to let things slide, which is so different from the author's intent. It ruins characterisation for the characters involved. In the manga, there's a chapter called Prey for Predators 2 which ties up the Fullbring arc together, and it wasn't adapted well in the anime. It explored the Fullbringer's (except Ginjo and Tsukishima) backstory just enough for us to empathise with them, but not feel sympathy as well. Once you empathise with the Fullbring cast, it evokes the same emotion within us towards Ginjo as he gathered them around, having gone through the same ordeals without revealing his backstory blatantly. That was a very efficient way of using material by not making it monotonous. That's why I adore Tsukishima's one-panel backstory, too much. For a guy who delves into inserting himself into others' pasts, he does not have one of his own. That's poetic and shows how his actions are just a coping mechanism to deal with it.

Im so thankful that I didnt watch this on real time. I will cry so much just bc is over and they were so nostalgic with the end😩😩

Please take into account that back then we didn’t even know if there would ever be a continuation!

The flashback with Ginjo patting Tsukishima on the head was both of their backstories you could say...so that's as much as you're gonna get on Ginjo Michelle lol

Even though the Soul Society are presented as "good guys" because they get along with Ichigo, they are NOT good. They're a NEUTRAL force tasked with maintaining the balance of the universe. Morals take a backseat when your job is to stop the world from falling apart lol. That's why morally reprehensible people like Mayuri, Kenpachi, Yamamoto, and even Kyoraku are in positions of power. They're willing to do whatever it takes. Case in point, the SS was more than willing to kill Ichigo here in the case he aligned himself with Ginjo. What's really interesting is that every reaction to the Combat Pass I've seen from people from a Western country is one of surprise, then acceptance, especially for reactors from the US. We have organizations like the NSA and CIA that are publicly known to be observing our every movement, so we don't find it that surprising. However, in Japan and Asia, an individual's privacy is taken much seriously, so this reveal hits harder.

Next arc took like over a decade to be made. Ginjo's backstory was implied without shown in the anime. Because its not revealed in the next arc. Just so you know and are not anticipating Ginjo's backstory next arc. The main point of Fullbring arc is to get Ichigo power back + to get their mentality/mindset ready for the TYBW. After Aizen arc, there is a lot of question like his power, what is he fighting for, stuff like that. Doing Mugetsu basically left him with sense of dread and these questions basically. This arc helps the viewer and ichigo answer the question imo.

"Kenpachi doesn't let people live like that".......uh yeah no, A big part of his character is he doesn't care about killing people weaker than him. He only killed the fullbringer this time was cause he was annoying. But if he faced a fullbringer that was evil but reserved, I 100% think Kenpachi would let them live. Nnoritita (one of the Espada) was losing to Kenpachi, Kenpachi was bored and was about to let him go. But Nnoritira wanted a Warrior Death, Kenpachi decided to kill him. edit: NVM ron corrected himself.

Nah. i hadnt finished the reaction. But unless something happens, I'm pretty Ginjo is 100% right. He never lied, only exaggerate or gave his perspective that could def be truthful. A lot of people forget because ichigo is friends with captains, but soul society was a corrupt organization when we first met them. THEY were planning to kill him and Ginjo. They just change their mind. Even past Aizen arc, they were not 100% sure. I have a feeling their order were to kill Ichigo if he chose to side with Ginjo. Whether or not they do it is a diff matter. I don't think Soul Society is evil, but they will do whatever they can for its self interest. Mayuri is a good example, he is def a bad man that was allow his position cause he was beneficial to Soul Society even after Ichigo "changed" Soul Society.

Basically what happened was the anime caught up to the manga so Studio Pierrot “ended” the show (they then did the exact same thing with Black Clover years later). After anime started getting more widespread and popular in recent years, and due to a resurgence of popularity in Bleach and anime in general after other streaming platforms picked up anime, Studio Pierrot brought back Bleach with TYBW to finish out the rest of the manga. Once TYBW became a hit with a seasonal schedule and newer animation, Studio Pierrot revisited bringing Black Clover back with the same format. And so now peak continues and both series get the treatment they deserve while fans finally get to see it all animated

Y'all should react to: 1. Bleach movie 4: Hellverse. Bleach movies 1 through 3 are great too but if you don't watch those then at least do movie 4. 2. Zanpakuto Rebellion arc (230-265) its a filler arc but its amazing and it'll answer you guys questions that were in canon material. If you're wanting more Bleach besides TYBW than this is a great option 3. React to episode 228. Me and a lot of other people kept asking you guys for it. Honestly could do 227/228 in one reaction. 227 is basically episode 0 and then 228. 4. React to the openings and rank your favorites. Y'all doing that already though so that's good.

If y'all thought the uniqueness from each of the title cards with each episode were A1, wait until TYBW. Y'all thought the OST's were the best? Wait till TYBW. Always gotta shout out Bleach's flawless OST's. This series gets a lot of hate unfortunately, especially out of the big 3 when it doesn't deserve it at all. I feel it deserves way more respect. I feel as though Bleach fans has some sort of redemption/closure with TYBW from waiting so long and with the rumors of the ending being rushed. Thanks guys for this OG Bleach journey. Road to TYBW. A FUCKING DECADE gap between the old show and TYBW, guys, You have no idea how many people waited and how many of them were left behind because of Covid, etc. The return of Bleach was something that was greatly celebrated.

Now that I'm thinking about it Ginjos relationships with the fullbringers is sort of similar to Shigarakis with the league of villains, Ginjo saved them and regardless of his actions he was a hero for them. Main difference is Ginjo was so consumed by hatred that he couldn't even allow himself to love his new companions and lost a lot of his care for Tsukishima. We see how caring he is in Tsukishimas flashback noting that they both are alone, but in the present he doesn't even really care when Tsukishima is dying. Super sad how he was changed by resentment and couldn't be saved until Ichigo.

CHOCOMINTO

In a very Bleach fashion, several things at the end were left unanswered or mildly hinted at. The Ginjo backstory you two are looking for is somewhere else and there's a special reason why Ichigo wanted his body brought back to the World of the Living. Other than that, looking forward to TYBW and the triple drops !!

The "tattoos" on Ichigo's chest, arms and his collar are actually his Fullbringer (which are armor-like) integrated with his Shinigami powers.

It took 10 years until TYBW got animated. The manga was finished earlier. However Kubo was not satisfied with how it ended. At that time there were several issues. Towards the end of the arc Kubo had major health issues which led him to rush a lot of things or even cut things from the manga. So with it being animated he got the chance to flesh things out. So there are a lot of added scenes in the anime which weren’t in the manga.

And just like that .... All of us had to wait 10* years for even an inkling that we'd see more. Crazy to think that was a third of my lifetime ago.

Byakuya is such a real one. He's ready to slime out anyone who comes after Ichigo, no matter if it's someone close to him. Compare that to his moral compass from the beginning of the series, and you can see how much his opinions and ethics have changed for the better.

can people stop hyping up TYBW?? It's good but nothing crazy compared to what we've got before. Also i really prefer the fullbring arc animation than TYBW arc animation

Also, the only thing you guys slept on, if anything, was the movies. The movies were genuinely very good despite the non-canon issues. A lot of those really should have been canon, but if we had to skip them to complete the journey, I'd take the completed journey over having the movies.

The choreo of the Ginjo-fight is so dope (that drop of blood with the reflection!) 🔥 Crazy fact: Ichigo is the ONLY main character out of the Big3 who has actually killed someone 🤯 (Not talking collateral damage or knockouts - a real, deliberate kill 🔪🩸) Tsukishima is also dead. Contrary to Soul Reapers (which are spiritual beings), Fullbringers are humans. Therefore a big hole in the chest is quite fatal 😅 Didn't expect Michelle to get teary eyed, made my eyes watery too 🥺🫶 There's no timeskip between the Fullbring arc and the YYBW arc, it's a (more or less) direct continuation. The 10 year waiting period for the final arc was painful only for us poor souls back then 😭 🧡

I'm glad that you guys are enjoying Bleach but I'm really hoping that you start reacting to other isekai aside from Slime. A good one would be "Tsukimichi moonlit fantasy" and "The wrong way to use healing magic" and even more recently "My Status as an assassin obviously exceeds the Hero's". And if you can, you could react to Dororo, it's not an isekai but I'm 1000% certain that you will love it

The fact people called this arc bad is crazy to me. I really believe it’s cause this arc didn’t have much action. Cause structurally the story and the characters was sooo complex and had a nice tone change to the rest of the series

Im not sure if this was covered in the doc but ichigo requesting ginjos body being described as a "pardon" because in the bleach world reincarnation is the expectation. By burying ginjo it allows him to enter the reincarnation process. Soul society planned to destroy his soul from being able to reincarnate as punishment, hence the pardon description of the request. Super hyped for TYBW. It is my personal #1 shonen arc. I know you guys already watched the first 2 episodes im surprised in all your discussions you never considered "them" as a possible final arc villains

10 year gap between The final episode and tybw. So many bleach fans thought we were never going to get new bleach and had to stick to rewatching og bleach and reading the manga it was tough being a bleach fan 10 +years ago.

[Tidbits] - In Kluboutside Kubo revealed in QnA 295, that he did in fact end this arc earlier than planned. (The story telling here may seem "sloppy" in that you feel that certain information is missing and that likely occurred because of how fans felt during the arc, but we do get more information later that really clears everything up) - We didn't get the explanation of "what happened" to Ginjo here until far later within light novels, and it makes you empathize with Ginjo's mission...[ill try to avoid saying too much because this may be adapted later] But The Soul Society has a Noble who used the surveillance badge to monitor and track Ginjo and he ordered a massacre on Ginjo Fullbringer allies (because there is something special that can be attained from fullbringer). This is why Ginjo was so upset about the surveillance and why he turned against thr Soul Society. - The Soul Society again shows it's duality here, They came to both give Ichigo his powers back and to see his decision. If Ichigo chose not to kill Ginjo they were going to take Ichigo and Ginjo out. - Choice is an important theme expressed here, despite what happened to Ginjo and Ichigo they were still given the choice to choose how they would proceed and the separation is why they are at odds. When ginjo was done wrong he choose vengeance, yet Ichigo made the choice to protect, this is why Ginjo looks upset when Ichigo makes his decision. Ichigo understands why Ginjo is upset and is lost in his vengeance, but at the same time he can't agree with what Ginjo is trying to do, so he saves him by doing the only thing left, taking his life. This idea is why Riruka says that "Ichigo saved him" - Sidenote: OG Bleach ended in 2012 and the Thousand Year Blood War anime adaptation began in 2022.

Ron, tbh you're not that wrong when it comes to Kenpachi one tapping pretty much anyone in the Anime world, Captains and BLEACH characters are some of the HIGHEST power scaled characters in all of anime, a lot of people saying its 2nd to Dragon Ball Z.... now to watch the reaction :) Edit after watching - im so glad you guys loved this arc, for w.e reason people dont like this arc but i truly believe its one of the best and most character progression focused arcs in the whole series for ichigo. Also, for us OG watchers we had to wait 10+ years for TYBW to FINALLY be animated, the manga obviously continued after this Fullbringer arc but thats all we were left with for over a decade...we prayed for times like this. I cant wait to see your eye light up with TYBW and finally get to see how much of a masterpiece it is...
