It’s such a shame Boruto got so much hate from people that didn’t bother to watch Boruto with an open mind. Because of all that hate, funding was minimal and animation takes a hit here and there. It has potential to be better than Naruto the show but people cling too much to the original characters.

Remember that pain literally destroyed the village haha, the water tanks where Sasuke and Naruto had that little battle are long gone and replaced with new ones. Tsunade had Yamato working overtime building all the new houses 😂.

I think you're underestimating a little bit how mature Boruto already is, Michelle. He was never jealous of Kawaki. He was just angry and worried because he sees Kawaki as a threat, especially to Hinata and Himawari. But Naruto has shown him now that while he can be cautious, he should still be empathetic.

Kawaki's backstory nearly brought me to tears. Makes you love his character even more. The fact that Kawaki noticed the broken vase that Himawari worked so hard on, I think maybe he thought about his childhood about that bottle of liquor that was for his father, the one that accidentally dropped to the ground and fell to pieces. This is what people meant when they were saying you'll get that same feeling of watching Naruto/Naruto Shippuden. It only gets better

Kishimoto isn’t the writer. He joined as a supervisor of Boruto way after these episodes (chapters) but he has minimal impact on the actual story. The original writer was Kodachi but he left and Ikemoto took over writing duties. Ikemoto is currently the author.

I am not a fan of Kawaki after a certain point, but he hard carried this story which reminded me of the potential the manga used to have before it lost its way, especially the timeskip.

They don't do it in the anime, but in the manga- Naruto actually get's mad at Kawaki for disrespecting Himawari and Hinata and even goes full nine tails cloak to scare him. I guess in hindsight it's a little outside his character.

kishimoto was the director of the story board he came back for his introduction because he is a VERY important piece to this story from now on this was like on par with otsusuki invasion arc and kawaki solidified top 5 characters for me in the franchise . the parallelism between him and boruto to sasuke and naruto is some the best work

Great reaction guys. The story telling and art direction here is really good. The Plot twist of Kawaki becoming part of the Uzumaki family makes the show much more interesting. The grim part is that episode 1 already shows us the future. The betrayal is gonna hit a lot harder!
