FRIEREN Season 2 Episode 9 REACTION! 🔥
YERRRRRRRR Sushi Squad, seeing Himmel's memoirs from his POV was so wholesome and LOVED the fact that Frieren was the center focus! Also really cool seeing the origin of picking up crappy payments for hard jobs! We hope you enjoyed our reaction to "Himmel's Memoirs"!
HIMMEL'S THE GOAT!!! 🥺🩵

So, I see Frieren as a story of discovery. Despite being over 1000 years old, Frieren doesn't really know herself, so her current journey is about discovering who she truly is while retracing the steps of her journey with the Hero's Party while reminiscing about those times. She learned a lot in those 10 years without realizing it, and she's only coming to terms with that during this current journey. The fact that she now has a memento from that 10-year journey from Himmel's own POV is absolutely beautiful 🥹😢 Fern and Stark holding hands, convulsing with fear over hearing about the flight of dragons is adorable. Himmel and Frieren taking seemingly useless payments as an excuse to do good deeds for "free" is very wholesome and not unlike selling a car (or something else really valuable) to someone for $1.
lol ron looks like a rich miami resident with that fit ( no hate just an observation if anyone plans to destory me in the comments)
That is a stargazy pie yes it is a real dish from the UK TT_TT It's a very old thing though. people don't usually make them any more.
need to find some haha
I doubt they had any sort of talk regarding their “relationship” because frieren didnt have that level of depth or understanding when it comes to emotion. She didnt even realize himmel proposed to her 😅
truuuu
I'm not reading the manga but I don't see it as a love story. It's like "it's a story that has love in it but it's not a love story". Ron's talk at the end is also making wonder : Do you guys believe that this place where you get to meet the dead's souls truly exists and they'll actually "communicate" with them ? I genuinely wonder but deep down I doubt it'll be a literal discussion involving words but I can see something kinda like in what they do in Avatar (the blue people), they connect to Eiwa's tree to meet up with their dead loved ones in a sort of dream ("once they die they go back to eiwa"). And maybe they won't be able to talk but they'll understand each other with their eyes/faces. Idk the whole "there is a land and the souls of the dead are chilling there you can come and meet" seems fishy haha (either way I'll cry)
Yes i think it is there! and i think they will have a convo. But even if they dont, its kind of like he has been talking to her this entire time
I would say romance is just a sub-genre in Frieren. Himmel’s unrequited love and Frieren’s later realization of how important he was in her life be it love or not. We also got some budding young love between Fern and Stark.
Lmao that’s crazy march 21 is my birthday
The brief flashback Frieren has on the boat should be foreshadowing to a future big bad, probably related to this "golden land" the boatman was going on about. If you remember, she had the same flashback earlier when the Hero of the South mentioned the Seven Sages of Destruction.
yeah and maybe I'm wrong but if I remember correctly back then they couldn't beat everyone so there must have been some really strong demons they couldn't beat somehow ? (I'm so curious about what the demon king looked like and how they defeated him)
