I can't tell you how many people hate Chopper's heavy point. It is just uncanny valley horrible. I think that enough people hate it that they'll hopefully fix it before Season 3. It's so jarring to go from cuteness to...that.

Tbh i LOVE Sanji no matter what.. i may be the minority especially as a woman but I don’t mind the pervy/simp side of him in the anime. Ik it gets excessive at times but i find it easy to just dismiss as nothing more than just a gag. If you focus on his true attributes he’s honestly one of the best characters in the show imo. He’s my favorite straw hat right after Luffy ❤️

14:32 I mean Sanji being the self-sacrificing type is consistent with the anime/manga too. I guess that's his 'flaw' is that he puts others before himself so much so that he'd give up his life for those he cares about. I'm telling you man... he's CHIVALROUS.

I'm so glad the Live Action decided to go this route with Sanji, they succeeded in Sanji's portrayal while Toei Animations failed. I'm sure you've heard by now but Sanji gets done extremely dirty in the anime compared to how he is in the manga. Arguably one of the most complex characters in the entirety of One Piece. Of course the gag still exists in the manga with him getting flustered around women but it is 10x worse in the anime (and sometimes the anime flat out adds scenes that weren't there in the manga). I'm excited to see you guys react to more of Sanji as the anime progresses because it'll give you a little more clarity as to why the Live Action went this route with Sanji, after all he's meant to be chivalrous not a creep since his mother is what sparked his respect and love for women.

Also, best way to ruin a reaction is to harp on the same thing you dislike over and over again. We get it, you don't like practical effects, continuing to mention it over and over, just ruins the vibe of the reaction.

Also, in regards to the Chopper practical effects and it looking "goofy". May I remind you what anime this series is adapting? One Piece... an anime that is known for goofy and odd looking characters, which make them memorable and help drive what One Piece's core best feature is, beautiful narrative and story telling.

For people who claim to be anime watchers, the fact that they don't see how accurate the monster transformation is, makes me second guess their knowledge... Look at a side by side of the faces, they literally brought the anime face to life, it's the same face lol. Even if they did CGI instead of practical effects, it would still look like that because it's supposed to. So I guess my question for these people are, what were you excpecting?

They had to make Sanji a simp or else he would be too perfect lol Sanji is such a great written character he is actually my second favorite strawhat the first is Luffy. You guys will understand more later..

I think you two were massively sleeping on Usopp's ranking in the fav character polls this season. His Little Garden stuff was top tier. He and Sanji are both up there. And Zoro too probably just cause of his 1v100 episode (and he's way sillier this season)

Okay I have some critiques. I feel like Sanji is way too chummy in this iteration. I've been reading and watching OP for over 10 years and Sanji to me always represented chivalry and coolness. As a guy who grew up in a kitchen run by pirates, he's supposed to have some edge to him but I don't feel that. He just feels like a bro. Also the Nami/Sanji & Luffy/Vivi dynamic is giving potential ship and idk how I feel about that either. It's like western entertainment just can't help itself but force love interests where it isn't canon(or needed) Idk that's just my take. But with all that aside, Brook seems perfectly cast and Netflix knocked it out of the park with Chopper.

Awesome reaction, guys! Congrats on finishing Season 2 of the One Piece live-action series—can’t wait for Season 3! Jamie Lee Curtis was originally the first choice for Dr. Kureha. She’s also a One Piece fan and even put herself forward for the role when she heard about the live-action adaptation. Unfortunately, due to scheduling and location conflicts, she had to pass on the opportunity. Katey Sagal did an amazing job as Dr. Kureha, but I honestly think Jamie Lee Curtis might have been even better (P.S. they’re actually good friends!). Joe Manganiello plays Mr. 0. He was Flash Thompson in the original Spider-Man—the guy who threw the punch in that iconic slow-motion scene where Tobey dodges it. He’s also been in Magic Mike and played a werewolf in True Blood.

Oh dang that Tony Tony Chopper song is so catchy. I wonder if they’ll ever make that Ussop sniper song? Their both going on my workout songs list.

I gotta say guys, the productions in this season is stellar. Great casts, great stunts, great acting, wonderful camera cinema works. They went all out!

Regarding the Sanji conversation, he has actually been my favorite character since Baratie. He also always places highly on global character popularity rankings, currently being the 2nd-3rd most popular character. And, he is undisputably the most popular character with a large part of the female audience (alongside Law). But, it is often agreed upon that the anime leans a little too heavily on his "simp" gag, even more so than the manga. Regardless, he is still our "little Prince".

Ugh I teared up so hard at that small bit with Sanji.. I can't wait until you guys catch up in the anime ! I'm here for the whole journey!

You haven't gotten to a specific arc yet so you have no idea how great Sanji is yet. He is a top 3 favorite character of mine pretty much equal with Luffy at #1. But Toei does go overboard with the Sanji gags in the Anime. Honestly if you want the best Sanji that would be the Manga one.
