FRIEREN Season 2 Episode 8 REACTION! 🐍🔥

"I shall walk into the jaws of death with you, Stark." Genau's definitely a good guy that feels like he needs to carry himself in a certain way. He feels a kinship with his partners, both in the partner that died while fighting Revolte and Stark, the one he just met but had an instant connection with. Stark immediately saw through that steely exterior of Genau's and that shows in how seamlessly their fighting styles fit together. Genau dragging himself toward Stark after their hard-fought victory has been burned in my memory ever since this episode aired! Then, we have Methode, whose tactical awareness allowed Fern to beat both demons (btw, the animation of Methode and her opponent barely dodging each other's attacks is too good). She cleared the magical fog and the trees hiding her opponent so that Fern could take both the demons down with ease. It definitely would've been cool if Methode and Genau (or at least one of them) could've joined the party, but, at least we got to see them together for this short time

i was about to lose MY SHIT if mr g didnt make it

Genau is the goat wow

This is the anime of the year hand down. To me if this isn't then I give it to Fire Force (and in my heart Hell's Paradise deserves to be in the debate as well)

Where tf is one piece😭

Frieren is a human!! so are dwarves. they all belong in the human category, there are times where frieren indirectly refers to herself as human. There’s also a reason why elves don’t have “elf magic,” they still practice humanity’s magic

mommy methode

The subtle details, like the light in the reflection of the moon in the water extending just before that demon gets taken out by Fern, were amazing. Methode also seems like an incredible powerhouse, a powerful mage and priest rolled into one.

The demon king doesn’t reincarnate this aint that type of story. I think u guys r also forgetting this isnt a story of them fighting demons, its a story of frieren getting closure for if/when she meets himmel and the rest in the after life place. Thats where they r headed

Evan Call is the music producer.

I love the small detail that Genau got over to Stark, took off his jacket, and used his own to wrap Stark's chest tightly so he wouldn't bleed out before help could arrive (in addition to pointing when they got there).

The fights was magnificent, but the small details make it even more powerful. For example, during Genau's flashback when Serie mentions that kind mages tend to live short lives while placing flowers in the coffin of Genau’s dead partner, and then proceeds to tell Genau that he is not kind and should remain that way forever, it reveals how deeply she cares for her students. In her own way, Serie is trying to protect Genau, showing that she does not want to lose another student. We also have Genau who is a kind person but acts like he doesn't, a stoic tsundere, like his master Serie. Saving Stark by stopping his bleeding with his coat despite bleeding the same amount himself and telling Methode to heal Stark first. Then, we have Frieren leaving the fight to Fern so that she can gain experience fighting strong opponents and grow. Such a great, spectacular episode!

Been a Stark fan ever since his introduction where he brought GENUINE fear into his master Eisen and caused him to reflexively hit him to keep him away during an argument. Now in this episode seeing him get straight up impaled but still fighting and then delivering the finishing blow... it was just too peak.
