Bleach - 290 & 291

Aizen wasn't acting when he was fighting Shinji. For a very short time, Shinji was getting the better of him. However, Shinji told him too much about his powers, so Aizen understood his powers because of that. He was able to tweak Shinji's senses enough to make his shikai ineffective, eventually. Tosen's death is one of the saddest in Bleach! Aizen poisoned his mind and soul, then, when he lost, he discarded Tosen right in front of Kommamura and Hisagi! I'd be upset, too, if I was Kommamura! I'd also be upset if I had Tosen's backstory! When someone you love is unjustly taken from you, and the person responsible for it is protected by the same organization and system that was supposed to protect the victim, that's gonna give you a vengeance complex, for sure! Also, Tosen's zanpakuto was the zanpakuto that belonged to his friend that died. Now we have Ichigo just busting in at the end, there lol
🤣🤣🤣 The guessing about what his appearance will be 🤣🤣🤣 It is in fact a bug, a cricket to be exact, his resurrection had the word "grillo" which means "cricket" 🦗 but yeahhh not pretty at all 🤷🏽♀️🤣
My man gojo would not stand a chance haha ,only Aizen standing Next to him would kill him...
Anyone feel like the video is slightly out of sync with their reaction?
Too early for tybw, you have fullbringer arc, which is dope
Now my favorite couple of episodes in Bleach before TYBW... Damn.........
WHY DOES HIS HEAD LOOK LIKE A PEEPEE
Nvm. Just got to the transformation. It's worse. He just looks like a giant fly
Damn, they didnt get it
I was expecting more of Tosen, actually I wasnt expecting anything and Im still dissapointed
There is a special reason why Tousen exploded the way he did and its explained in a manga book but I can't remember the name.
Wat happened to Tosin would be essentially like if someone murdered ur wife and then Trump pardoned them along with the us government, would you not kinda hate the U.S?
tosen looked so cool and this transformation was ugly asl lmfao
Not one shitty partner 😂
🪰 Tosen’s fly Resurrección form is no coincidence (as always in Bleach 🧡) and ugly on purpose 🪰 Resurrección = releasing a Hollow’s “true form.” Flies are commonly associated with (moral) decay and death. It’s funny Ron says Tosen isn’t relatable when his situation is actually quite understandable: if someone you love is murdered by a high-ranking official and the system protects them, is it really so shocking that Tosen wants to destroy that corrupt system? And hell yeah, Aizen is Zaddy 🤤
It bugs me that they don't get it what he went through and how he got corrupted through his hollowfication.
Next épisode needs to be a triple épisode pls
The dialogue and writing are incredible with Tosen and Komamura
dogs are always loyal
Itachi is always a difficult opponent, but Madara would defeat Aizen easily if his sharingan could see through Aizen's illusion.
Aizen scales above them so they wouldn't beat Aizen, Aizen doesn't need Kyoka Suigetsu either.
You guys have to be better at understanding nuance.
Fr, I wish they’d try to understand a bit more, like JDanime they be analyzing everything and cooking and their discussions are one of my favorite parts of the reactions
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!! Need thy next episodes damn it!!! 😭💀🤣🤣
Yea bleach is known for having one of the most infamous villain of all time I honestly believe some people solely watched bleach because they wanted to see Aizen lose they wanted to witness the impossible become possible
Tosen design reminded me of one of kakuzu black monster things in Naruto
My Bears is out they had 1 hell of a run
That interception killed me. Especially after the hail Mary that got us into overtime.
Ron know you’re a football guy sorry about Bo Nix I still like yall chances against the Patriots. Going to be a game of defense.
Next épisode needs to be a triple épisode pls
Based on how the schedule drops it’s all accoring to plan 😏
I swear y'all aren't ready for the peak that is TYBW. No anime can put 40 or so episodes back to back up against it.
It was literally the highest rated anime if not one of the highest
your reactions are a teensy bit ahead of the episode displayed to us on screen
Insight on Tosen, his transformation and his "justice to revenge" pipeline: A person's most used sense is sight. Blind people perceive the world around them so much differently, not just because of being blind but because they enhance everything else a bit more to develop a sense of familiarity in unfamiliar situations. Generally speaking that's the case with anyone who has some sort of disability. Those people are highly justice-driven due to their lived experiences while in pursuit for equality, trying to dismantle systematic barriers. Although this doesn't necessarily apply to Tosen, his strong sense for justice came from his friend, her stories and thoughts which so happened to align with his to some degree. To a blind person who has never "seen" justice (or injustice), he took his friend's words for it, which then amplified his own idea of righteous justice. Once he found out that she got killed and by whom, his entire image of Justice got shattered. The justice she spoke of, the justice he thought of... was nothing but a facade. The people in power and the entire system of Soul society is the cause of her death. The same society that is selling this talk about justice, covered up his friend's death for the sake of the system. And thus his idea of justice turned to revenge and hate towards the entire Soul society. Tosen's speech about Soul society being corrupt is valid. As for his transformation, it's simply a visual representation of a uncool animal that has extremely good eyesight - a bug. The design being ugly is very much intentional, considering how far gone Tosen is. The irony is indeed the fact that he gained the sense of sight in exchange for his soul, which we can see in his pitch black appearance.
we all agree his transformation was terrible lmao
It’s an intriguing creepy design but it doesn’t feel like it should belong to Tosen.
Is the video out of sync for anyone else?
As far as Aizen being Itachi’s slightly stronger uncle I agree because Itachi’s hypnosis can lead to his blindness if spammed. But how would Aizen counter Amaterasu?
Most characters from Bleach are levels above Naruto characters if we're being honest
Tosen hates the system because his friends’ husband was influential in the soul society and wasn’t properly “dealt with” like he begged for. I think it was said in the soul society arc.
Shinji's ability was foreshadowed when we seen him for the first time. Remember he was flying upside down spying on Ichigo. He also wrote his name backwards on the board in Ichigo's class. Sakanade is one of the coolest Zanpakuto. Michelle, TYBW (Thousand year blood war) has 4 parts overall. The first part dropped back in 2022 to answer your question. Ron was saying part 4 (final part) drops this year in July. Btw y'all are gonna love TYBW
Bleach foreshadowing is actually crazy when you see all of them. I mean may things for TYBW are already foreshadowed, even past that.
shinji got the most broken zanpakto bru wait til u see his bankai
He literally loses only for the plot.. my dude is actually busted..
Ron its pointless putting Aizen, let alone anyone from Bleach up against most people lol. Naruto verse cant hang nor can Gojo lol . Aizen solos, you shall see in the next 2 eps
Tosen lost his friend its already been explained soul society arc but its been so long I dont blame you for not remembering but this time the backstory is extended and we get more info
uhhh i think you guys forgot how corrupt Soul Society is. Kaname story is just one case of corruption
You are right. Aizen can be debated as one of the strongest characters in anime verse to exist
No in Bleach verse there are at least 5 caracter stronger than him
Yeah Ron Tosen's transformation is ugly, thats the point. It's a meaning behind it and very symbolic. Bleach usually has cool designs but for his character the one time he can see, he doesnt even see how he looks and its hypocritical of him calling Komamura ugly when he himself is ugly
@Rice&Ginger - Regarding the transformation that Tosen went through. You gotta take a step back and realize how Kubo cooks with this one...It is an amazing representation of a character who has gone mad with power and revenge. an ugly formula right? And as he evolves he becomes UGLIER showcasing how much Tosen has fallen and gone into the dark side to achieve his desire. The uglier the hollow transformation the lower that person has fallen. THESE NEXT EPISODES ARE GOING TO GO CRAAAAZY
Respectfully Aizen would make Gojo one of his espada 😭🙏
Honestly I think it would be a good match up but I would still take Aizen……I think the only way Gojo could win is if he kept his blinds on but Aizen would still win imo
Aizen is the best villain in anime that he doesn’t even need a backstory haha 🤣
Studio perriot really ruined Tosen Backstory. There was more details in the manga that the anime cut out
Tosen is not mad at all soul reapers individually he is filled with rage towards they system that the soul reapers follow that not only allowed his best friend to be killed but robbed her of any sort of justice. If someone who wants justice and peace can be overtaken by sheer power and authority, then Tosen will gain enough power to wipe out evil and bring justice to the world that's his mindset pretty much
290 Tosen's grief so deep he mistook his rage for justice. Tosen’s entire path begins with the woman he loved being murdered, and the Soul Society system allowing her killer to walk free. That wasn’t just a backstory it's a statement "how can a system call itself “justice” if it protects the powerful and abandons the innocent?" And something the anime hints at, the man who committed that murder isn’t some random. He is a major, established figure that has deep roots into the Gotei 13’s political structure. That reveals the real horror, it wasn’t that Tosen couldn’t kill the murderer it’s that the system refused to punish him because it would disrupt the stagnant status quo that Soul Society clings to. Tosen saw a world rotting under the surface, and believed only radical evolution could save it similarly to Aizen thats where they relate. His transformation scene is symbolism. His new form a hollow, mosquito like giant strips away his moral facade and shows the truth. He wanted sight not for understanding, but domination. He rejected empathy to force his grief onto the world. The white armor represents the purity he thinks he still has, while the Hollow hole exposes what his justice became a parasitic ideology feeding on suffering. The moment he finally gains physical sight, the first thing he focuses on is violence, proving he became spiritually blind long before Aizen ever found him. Hisagi is the exact inverse the student who listened more than his teacher ever did. Tosen once taught him, if he doesn't fear his blade he is not a warrior. But Tosen abandoned that lesson. Hisagi is the one who honors it. This episode also reinforces a core truth of Bleach villains, that they don’t crumble because they're convinced to shift their mindset. Their convictions run too deep painful, valid, but fatally flawed. Tosen's character isn’t a tragic past to redemption moment cliche. He is a man who looked at a cruel world and decided cruelty was the only fair answer. The biggest thing anime only's should know, is this isn't the end of his story. The full truth was intentionally saved for a later arc, Kubo placed the rest of Tosen’s story into the lore heavy novel Can’t Fear Your Own World which takes place after TYBW, where Soul Society’s corruption is fully confronted the murderer’s identity and protection are addressed directly. 291 Tosen’s final episode is the collapse of his own philosophy. His justice was built on grief. The murder of the woman he loved exposed a system that protected power over innocence, and that injustice became his entire worldview. But because he never healed, his pursuit of righteousness twisted into the very cruelty he claimed to oppose. You were wondering why his resurrection doesn’t overwhelm Komamura’s Bankai? The central message symbolically shown is power without a heart is a shell. Komamura the beast, embodies the humanity Tosen abandoned. His strength doesn’t come from revenge or ideology, but from bonds, loyalty, friendship, vulnerability. When Komamura tells Tosen that a heart is shaped through connection, it cuts deeper than any blow. The most heartbreaking part is Tosen’s hypocrisy. He once taught Hisagi that fear allows us to connect and care for others yet he abandoned that very principle. Hisagi, being terrified, becomes the true inheritor of Tosen’s ideals. His blade is not vengeance it is compassion. He saves the man who raised him from becoming a monster even he would no longer recognize. As Tosen’s vision stabilizes he finally sees his own regret. For one brief moment, he sees the heart he denied. And then Aizen ends him without hesitation, confirming Tosen was never a partner. The novel reveals the full corruption behind his friend’s murder and the upper level rot within Soul Society, the exact injustices Tosen sensed from the start. His ideology continues to haunt the narrative, proving he was not a disposable villain, but a vital voice in Bleach’s framework. Tosen’s tragedy is simple yet devastating. He wanted a world without suffering… but couldn’t believe in a world where people suffer and still choose compassion. By rejecting the heart, he lost the very justice he fought for, a lot of Bleach messages are subtle and mostly subtext not spoonfed, mostly when you’ve read or watched the whole thing and piece things like dialogue together
Wow I loved your comment. I was pretty much aware of everything you said but I would never be able to put it in words the way you did.
Man I forgot how well written Tosen was. Komamura was the Naruto to Tosen's Sasuke
Wait til the next triple drop that’s all I gotta say
There is a reason why Aizen is always talked about when anime villains are discussed.
There is more about Tosen's backstory in a light novel
Go Rams 🐏 (next upload is gonna be certified bleach peak fiction)
This ain't a big deal but I noticed recently the audio been delayed by like 1-2 seconds. Like they would react to something then it would happen 1-2 seconds later like for example with the music came in at 8:33
i was just about to comment the same thing , they are like a second or 2 ahead , its kinda taking me out of the reaction , them saying stuff before the subs
GO RAMS
Tosens ugly form is basically to mirror how much he fell from his original idea of Justice. Its meant to be ugly, not cool lol
The video and the reaction are not synced
July the Final Cour of Thousand Year Blood War will Air
Yokoso
