Map and MapUI
Hello, everyone! I’ve decided to postpone the release of the new map and Gallery Part 2 to justify some points first. However, tomorrow’s post will be published at the same time as today’s updates.
Even if you’re playing in Visual Novel mode, this post is highly relevant since some map features will be available in this gameplay style as well. These include access to the bank, jobs, markets, and other locations depending on the day and time. These options will be available during “free periods” in the story, which can be utilized at least once a day or skipped entirely if you prefer.
Why is this important?
It’s simple: some gallery photos depend exclusively on gifts or events triggered by dates with the girls. Therefore, these features will be accessible in both game modes to help guide and simplify the player’s experience. Keep in mind that gallery photos will include indicators on how to unlock them, which will vary depending on the game style you choose.
Map Changes for Sandbox Mode
For those who opt for Sandbox mode, here’s what’s new:
Improved Design: Locations have been redesigned to look smoother and more cohesive. When you hover over a location, its name will appear just above the GameUI’s bottom buttons, as shown in the provided image.
Updated Locations: Some less-used locations from the old map have been removed, while new ones, like the gym and motel, have been added. These changes reflect the new mechanics and storylines tied to these spaces.
Simplified Navigation: Previously, some locations had up to seven pages (like the Park or Waterpark), which has been reduced to a maximum of three. This makes navigation more straightforward and eliminates excessive clicks to find events. The only exceptions are your house and the gym, as they include more areas, but we’re already working on ways to streamline those as well.
New MapUI Features
In the bottom-right corner, you’ll find two black buttons:
Magnifying Glass: Displays all the events available on the map at the current day and time, allowing you to jump straight to them without clicking around to find the right person.
Clock: Advances time, simulating idle moments when you’re simply waiting for the hours to pass.
A Vast Neighborhood to Explore
Every location in this update is accessible and explorable, giving Sandbox enthusiasts a rich and dynamic area to enjoy. There will also be quests to complete, offering incredible rewards for your efforts.
I hope everyone had a fantastic New Year’s celebration! By now, every corner of the world has likely welcomed 2025. May this year bring peace, health, wealth, prosperity, love, and, most importantly, lots of Life in Alphaville! Thank you once again for your continued support and affection!
