New Main Menu and Settings

Today, I want to share some updates about the new Main Menu and the customization options you'll find in our game. The goal was to bring more personality and consistency to Life in Alphaville, as the previous background felt outdated, and the buttons had minor visual flaws.

The one thing we didn’t change in the Main Menu is the opening music, which is such a distinctive feature of our game. However, I decided to update the background with fresh, animated visuals. Now, you’ll see a rotating sequence of beautiful images featuring various characters, focusing primarily on the game’s initial social niches.

The settings menu, which previously followed Ren'Py’s default layout, has also been revamped to give the game its own unique flair, setting it apart from others. In this menu, you'll still be able to manage the usual options like buttons, load and save slots, volume, and text speed. However, you’ll also find new features, such as the ability to customize the dialogue box — which I’ll discuss in more detail soon — and change the game’s language. For now, the game will be available in Portuguese and English, with additional languages planned for the future.

Other game options, such as choices and interactions during dates with the girls, will follow this new design style. I’ll go deeper into these changes in another post later this week to give you all the details and explain what to expect.
