I don't know whether or not George Lucas intended this, but it's always seemed to me that when Yoda says "There is another (hope)," and later and clearly with the same reference "There is another Skywalker," there is a problem with the idea that he means Leia, even though that is clearly what Kenobi thinks he means. We are told that the completion of the new Death Star means "certain doom" for the rebellion, and that does not seem to leave enough time for Leia to train as a Jedi. I wonder if what Yoda really meant by "another Skywalker" might be that we should not give up on Anakin, who can still come back from the dark side. We already know that Kenobi can misinterpret Yoda, because when Yoda told Luke that he must confront Vader, Kenobi took this to mean that Luke must kill Vader - which is precisely what he must not do, since the Emperor is clearly too strong to be killed in a head-on conflict, but can only be killed if the blow comes from an unexpected direction, from someone he believes to be fully under his control.
