I鈥檝e seen this movie so many times and it鈥檚 still the most beautiful war movie I鈥檝e ever seen. Also it鈥檚 said on Desmond Doss wiki page that he saved 75 to 100 men. Desmond thought he only saved 50, his commanding officers believed the number was closer to 100 so the Army officially settled with 75. And he saved them in a 12hr span.
What a great movie! Glad to see you guys watched it!!!
Just so yall ate aware combat medics are still required to pass the shooting range and bare arms. They have to be able to protect themsevles and there squad while also providing aid. Noone can go into a combat zone unarmed. Thats why they still wanted him to hold a gun even thlugh hes a medic. Its not like hes an actualy doctor who stays back and provides aid to wounded soldiers. Combat medics are in tje middle of the battlefield shooting woth everyone else. Then when someone gets wounded there suppoed to try and stop the bleeding and then move back.
Dude no shit馃ぃ that鈥檚 what makes this story so amazing is he did it without the gun. There鈥檚 literally a whole courtroom scene about that lol. But he鈥檚 also a conscientious objector, they鈥檙e not required to hold guns in combat. He just needed to complete the training course
this and the pacific were some of my favorites from y'all back in the day
I love these reactions, may I ask what鈥檚 with the oldies?
They hosted a lot of their older movies/show on a website so they are moving them over so they are all on Patreon now
Let鈥檚 go 馃
