Avatar: The Last Airbender (Season 3 - Episode 21)
We can’t believe we’re finally here, the FINAL episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender!
We know a lot of you were wondering how we were going to handle these final episodes, so we’re really happy we were able to get all of the remaining episodes out for you this week!
This was by far the fastest we’ve ever gone through a series, and what an incredible journey it’s been. Thank you to everyone who watched along with us, shared your thoughts, and supported us throughout the entire adventure. We seriously appreciate you guys!
And one last thing… we’re not completely done with Avatar just yet! We’ll also be checking out the new movie that came out this year!

Since you asked why is it so short and said you wanted more, you can find it in Legend of Korra. Some will tell you it’s not as good as ATLA but I think it’s more accurate to say it’s different. Made for a just slightly older audience but still in the same universe, and I know you two would love it. Hope to watch along with you soon!
There were a lot of similarities with GoT in this series. One of them is that I wish they had an extra season because it felt rushed.
That might have been the last ever time I watch this show 😭
I couldn’t wait for the ending so shon could stop pushing zutara Neva gonna happen sorry katara was aang’s girl from the start
Can yall watch dbz
lol imagine
BEST SHOW EVER 😩
Please watch Legend of Korra next if you can!
Legend of Korra next!!!
time to watch Legend of Korra guys! It's a great sequel show!! You guys will love it!
What a journey 🫡
Can’t wait for the movie reaction
Do you look the Avatar Aaang Movie next ?
its so sad to see the highest rated animated series of all time and yall giving your thoughts, then asking for our thoughts and literally 90% of comments are "can you watch tlok pls" which people have been commenting ever since s2.... like its so fucking annoying as if there werent places for that.... just for that reason i hope they pick something else. then ontop its honestly a shit sequel. it has strengths of its own but it literally does damage to the IP as a whole and at large just isnt on the same level in any discipline at all. theres one death shown directly on screen and thats why so many people yapp on about tlok being "more mature" as if that meant better, when it literally isnt more mature at all. its moody like a bruting teenager. thats not "more mature". and no shit trying to be "more mature" after the predecessor was a nickelodeon show about a sole survivor of a genocide now having to save the entire earth, will always end up looking pretentious.
Loved this entire show even though it’s animated it touches on so many adult topics and makes it feel real for children and adults i’ve seen it so many times now and can’t wait to see yall continue the story with the new movie and Legend of Kora
Time for the legend of korra , it’s okay
Comparing these last episodes to the first and its like night and day. The animation, the intensity, it's all elevated to its peak.
Aang predicted his victory after saying he’d use glue bending so the firelord can’t bend anymore lol
Thank you guys for the reactions as always! This show was a much needed pallet cleanser after some really long, heavy (iconic) shows with frustrating final seasons. Lookin right at. you GOT and Dexter. Alright I never do this, but since everyone else is--I'm gonna have to rewatch Legend of Korra now anyways before I watch anything else, so it'd be super convenient if y'all just did it next. Korra is definitely an Avatar show but it doesn't feel EXACTLY the same. There's enough of an evolution that it feels familiar but also its own thing. No risk of burnout.
i couldnt disagree more. tlok IS the burnout.
The Legend Of Korra is still part of the Avatar series so technically...we're not done yet....right? (more please)
Should watch the new movie first and then legend of korra‼️‼️
Hey before legend of korra ,watch the movie first .korra has spoilers.
How does it have spoilers if it came out nearly 12 years before? The movie was made with the creators knowing that our first impression to things was Korra. That is where it is meant for things to be seen first.
Legend of Korra is awesome and the boomeraang squad feels like people they would actually evolve into.
Shoshana on point about Aang and Zuko being the next reincarnation of Sozin and Roku
well no shit thats how it works with the avatar lol
This shift from Aang being on the back foot to having Ozai running scared is always awesome to see. He was not at all prepared to go up against a fully realized Avatar
Trust me it’s better to watch in chronological order
It’s better to watch the movie first it helps with the established additions that are in KORRA and helps understand aangs future choices
Next is the legend of aang movie you guys have to watch it great plot great action great new characters
Next gotta watch the legend of korra
I haven’t watched the movie yet but will soon. I assume it has certain Avatar world mechanics that were built upon and tones that were introduced in The Legend of Korra. Which are big reveals, deep, and more mature. The movie might spoil some of those things, but I don’t exactly know. I personally would want to see the show first, but either way I personally am excited no matter the order!
legend of Korra next plsssssss awesome sequel (especially season 1, 3, & 4)
I think Korra would be a good watch - the story goes on!
Are you guys going to do vampire diaries? It would be awesome!!
watch all of Avatar: The Last Airbender with you two reaction glad you love the show and gave it a chance the movie is upgrade gets more better it takes place right after events of season 3 can't wait I know we are most likely not getting for a while korra becuse yall have more shows you will be getting into just happy you checking out the movie and watched the show love watching you guys reactions
Highest rated animated series to this date and now you know why. I had a great time watching y'all enjoy this journey. too much to say in a comment but i loved everything about this journey and what made it so great was balance. we get all types of settings from icy tundras to deserts to jungle landscapes, all seasons. we also get all types of locations from villages to monasterys, temples both lived in and abandoned. The episodes are also balanced in the plot cause while at large its a fantasy adventure story, it brilliantly uses these episodes to tell smaller adventures along the way and we had everything from scamming to several prison breaks for different reasons, we got raids, battles, fetch quest adventures, personal drama and flashback stories, etc etc even the characters are balanced in screentime, meaning to the plot, like sure this finale in some areas can feel a little "rushed" but thats also because this story understood not to disrespect their audience by spelling everything out i.e. the siege of ba sing se by the white lotus was pretty quick, or some stuff between aang and katara but again we dont need words atp. at large all characters got their moments to shine and none felt like they undermined anyone else. in general this finale is so great only because they "invested" or built up this plot for this long and now its obviously paying dividends. just like zukos character development like everyone calls that he will join the gaang earlier or later and while its frustrating that he turns his back on them in the s2 finale things like that are obviously very much needed for his character arc to make sense.
the new animated movie has to be next !!!!
im so glad yall got to expierince this peak of a show, this was my childhood
Hard to believe it’s done already. Also, Grey Delisle (Azula’s voice actor) has stated that she prefers not rewatching Azula’s breakdown at the end of the fight because she used her experiences with mental illness in her family and it left her genuinely sobbing in the booth. Mad props to her cause you can feel and hear the pain
watch legend of korra its a good show and watch it after the movie because it fits the timeline
Happy to have been on this months long journey with you🙏🙏🙏
This show means so much to me and my childhood
Please avoid the old movie and live action just watch Korra IF you want to continue the Lore
wow thank you guys so much for watching this. i was crying so much it was crazy. also the odyssey captivates you in a similar way this does so cant wait for you to get to react to that!
I rarely comment, but Avatar is hands down a TV show I would never EVEEEER get tired of watching and re watching and I remember the very first episode…. Time truly flies when you enjoy it this way. Thank you for all 61 episodes uploaded. And if I may, starting Avatar The Legend Of Korra would be the best thing you could do :D!!!
Please please Legend of Korra. I know you will love it.
Great finale, great animation, great fights, but I never liked the lion turtle thing. Felt very deus ex machina. Came out of nowhere. Hitting a rock shouldn't unlock his chakras either. I also don't like how katara and aangs final conversation is a fight, they don't resolve anything, spent the entire finale apart, and then they just kiss in the end. Felt rushed. And mai and zuko? Worst couple, my opinion, makes no sense
I definitely agree on Mai. I get what they were trying to do with her character but honestly that's a rather toxic and unhealthy or unrealistic relationship I feel. I think other relationships in the show were definitely handled better on the whole.
Great finale, great animation, great fights, but I never liked the lion turtle thing. Felt very deus ex machina. Came out of nowhere. Hitting a rock shouldn't unlock his chakras either.
I guess it would depend how you define it. The lion turtle was presented relatively earlier, I think in the library if I recall correctly. So I don't think the lion turtle itself is deus ex but what it DID and it's role in the story was not established in any way prior, so that could arguably be a hat-pull/deus ex given the insane timing of it. The avatar world gives a bit of leeway with the destiny and spiritual aspects, but even still. The rock thing is honestly probably the strongest criticism of the show as far as major plot elements go. Fully agree with that one.
I just wanna say thank you for taking this journey for the greatest show ever created.
Im team yall doing HOTD next, but when yall speak of wanting more even if yall dont watch Legend of Korra soon the Avatar movie that RECENTLY came out is a direct sequel to Aangs story (Oh nvm yall know about the film cool lol)
Some of the stuff in the movie would be rather confusing if watched before Korra but ultimately IDC as long as we get both.
KORRA! KORRA! KORRA!🤞🏼🙏🏼
You guys should Watch Korra after the movie since there’s a new series coming out
So glad you guys got to experience this show!! Thanks for including all three today btw!! :) Man... they really went all out on the animation in this finale. The battles, all of the fire. Beautiful. and it was written so good. It's wild that they can make you feel bad for someone like Azula in the end. I mean, I can definitely get it. She was raised in the worst way. Makes one wonder how she would've ended up if she was banished like Zuko. But on the brighter side it was so pleasing to see Zuko become firelord and now he will restore honor to the fire nation. It's beautiful. It really is bittersweet that you guys got to the end. I've really been enjoying and looking forward to this every week. I'm excited and happy to have seen you guys get to the end, but I also don't want it to be over lol. Anyway lol. So happy you guys got to experience and enjoy this show, definitely one of my favorites out there. :) As for my favorite characters, I will include my top 5 starting from the top fave: 1: Zuko - He is the character I can relate to the most, and I really love his character arc. Quite honestly, as fantastic as Aang's is, I like his even more. He's been a huge inspiration for writing my own character. He goes through so much, being traumatized as a child, banished, set out to find and capture the avatar to restore his honor. Finding out his background and that he is related to Avatar Roku really explains the battle within himself, and I loved that reveal. And we get to really see his struggles unfold. and seeing his relationship with his uncle him being there for him throughout his entire journey is fantastic. By the end of his story, he restores his honor, but by taking back the fire nation and starting the path to restore honor to his entire nation in a new era of love and peace as the new firelord. 2: Iroh - I really love his story and character arc as well, always being the good, carefree uncle and being there for Zuko, even at his worst. He's so wise and lovable, and funny. And such a badass. I loved seeing him help Toph and Aang just by talking to them. He's really just there for everyone. I love his backstory in that he conquered Ba Sing Se, he was the one person to do it. and yet we get the sad story of him losing his son because of it. But Zuko becomes like his new son in his place. I love that he gets the name The Dragon of the West, and that he invented the ability to redirect lightning. He gains knowledge by studying the other benders and nations, not just his own. He was also the last person to face the dragons before Zuko and Aang, and I love how he lied saying he hunted and killed them, in order to save them. and the dragons passed the knowledge of the true meaning of firebending on to him. And by the end, he brings himself peace by taking back Ba Sing Se from the fire nation. He's such an amazing character. 3: Aang - I'm giving this spot to Aang, because he really is the hero and has a great character arc too, and the kid has been through so much loss and pain, and being thrown back into the world 100 years later. Despite all of that, he still comes through. AND, at least going by the previous avatars and their stories we have seen, he's the one avatar who managed to save the world at such a young age. and he accomplished it in the way he wanted, the way that not only brought peace to the world, but peace to himself. (Not killing Ozai, but instead taking his bending away.) He really is an amazing kid. 4: Sokka - The comic relief of Team Avatar. But also, he's the only one that has been there since the beginning without any bending. I can't imagine being in a party full of powerful benders, and being the one person that doesn't have that power. Yet he always comes through. He's really smart, a great leader, a great fighter. and the rest of the team couldn't have gotten to where they are without him. He starts off as being very full of himself and not respectful to women, but only because of the way he was raised and not getting out in the world. He was easily humbled after meeting Suki, and those two were just the perfect match. He grows in a lot of ways too throughout the show. As goofy as he is, he's very honorable. (Not to mention he gets a master and gets to make a space sword. So awesome lol.) 5: I think I will give this one to Toph. She's the most amazing earth bender we see, and she can't even see with her eyes. It's really because of that that she was able to do the things she could. and she was the first bender to ever become a metal bender. She's a very tough character and I love that we get to see such strength from a female character. I also love that she comes from one of the richest families in the world, she knows how to be a respectable noble, but chooses to leave that way behind to be who she truly is. I love how she teaches Aang how to sense the earth, not using his eyes. and we actually get to see that in Aang's final move before taking Ozai's power away. It really shows just how helpful she was to him on his journey. I also just love her sassy behavior and sense of humor. She's great. Anyway. It's hard to do only 5, because I love so much of them. Katara really is amazing too, I love that she learned how to bloodbend, and I love how she can relate to Zuko, and how their friendship starts off really rough and how it really grows.. (though I'm not one of the people that ship them. They weren't meant to be together, and it shows that two people of the opposite sex can relate to each other and not have to be romantic partners. Though I'm not against it if that would've been what the writers went for, because it could have worked. but it didn't. and I like that she ended up with Aang.) And Azula is a fantastic character. Such a badass and also scary lol. I love her blue fire. and by the end we see this rather horrifying and sad moment for her being broken after feeling betrayed by her friends. But she really only kept them close through fear and having power over them, and they made their choice. She really grew up in a messed up way. and like I said before, it could have ended differently, it's possible. It's sad. But I really love how she was written. Anyway, I will stop there....LOL this is long. Thank you guys so much!!! I loved going on this journey with you two. :)
Glad you enjoyed it. Now will you please catch up on Daredevil? Vision Quest is fast approaching.
Man this show in and of itself is so beautiful. I really enjoy everything they do to expand the universe of this series, but you can't deny that as a self contained 3 season show, it is one of the greatest of all time.
And the movie
Now we need legend of Korra then the new avatar show
Soooo legend of korra now? Please and thank you. Yall gotta catch up for avatar saven havens the new earth bender avatar after korra. It comes out soon this year
In the comics you find out azula went to a mental ward in a straight jacket 😂😂 ozai went to prison but azula got that bich you crazy treatment
Yay for spoilers
You'll find out what happened to his mother in the comics following the show. Its called the search if your interested. They also have comics about aang and zukos struggles rebuilding the world and how they try to make the fire nation seperate but a hundred years is a long tome and fire nation colonies have been in the earth kingdom for a long time so naturally good fore nation citizens and earth kingdom citizens have families and children. Its very interesting.
So glad you guys enjoyed the show. I would say watch the avatar movie before the legend of korra.
Momo is valid answer actually lol Excited for the movie, and despite what anyone says Korra is a great watch, you guys wouldn’t be disappointed
the Legend of Korra definitely has more mature notes. I hope you guys check it out!
100000%
Last thing imma say because I’m yapping too much here, the ONLY negative of doing Korra before the Aang movie is that people have to wait longer for the movie. The negatives that MIGHT come from doing the movie first is that BOTH PROJECTS might be enjoyed less because you will be seeing things for the first time that weren’t meant to be your first impression of them. I’m seated either way though and excited for more.
Please do the legend of korra next!
Never been happier to read a description lmao Movie reaction confirmed!!
i remember feeling empty after finishing this series the first time, so i gave korra a chance and it was actually good, when finishing korra a felt the emptiness again lol
LEGEND OF KORRA TIME
after the movie please i beg to check out the legend of korra
Movie then watch korra
10 out of 10 animated series love it so much and cannot wait for the movie 💯🙌🏾❤️
Respectfully disagree. When it comes to aangs story which is what they’re invested in. Watching the show first wouldn’t do any service to the movie. It would make more since to watch the movie first since it does kinda build up to the show by making connections and small references.
My thing is, us avatar fan would ideally like for them to see both Korra and the movie. It’s not like we are saying to ignore the movie. If they would do movie first then Zaheers bending won’t seem that fresh, the cameos would seem boring, republic city won’t be a new concept, the spirit world scenes in the movie would seem way more random and out of place etc. I’m trying to keep it vague so I don’t spoil. Not to mention I genuinely think they would enjoy the movie more if they took a break from the Gaang just like the rest of the avatar audience did.
Appa & Momo together as one ranking
The best reaction to one of the best shows ever. Thank you guys so much for giving us this amazing journey🔥💧🪨💨 I really hope the legend of korra gets voted in, but I really really hope yall watch the new animated movie ! It’s so good
I'll never get tired of this series. I've been watching it since 2005, and it was a joy to watch it once again with yall. I've been trying to push it on polls for literal years lol. I'm glad yall enjoyed it! I'm also glad that yall will be checking out the Avatar Aang movie. The Avatar fan in me wants you guys to dive into Korra and the comics also, but I'm just grateful for the reaction to ATLA! Loved every second of it.
Ironically Aang taking Ozais bending away was the ultimate punishment. Sokka is a great strategist.
Gotta watch the legend of korra next
Vince: I want more. All of us have been saying this for a decade🤣 I want an entire series about the gang as grown ups, I hope they expand past the movie
Lookup the comics where it shows Zukko and his mother and more
Are they watching the Aang🎬 on Paramount NEXT?
Such a phenomenal end to an amazing show
WATCH AVATAR AANG : THE LAST AIRBENDER MOVIE BEFORE WATCHING THE LEGEND OF KORRA SEIRES !
That’s gonna make their reaction to republic city and zaheer way less exciting though. There’s nothing wrong with them experiencing things in the same order the rest of the audience did
Peak fiction, Nickelodeon was absolutely in their prime
I have a figure of Aang in the air bubble with all the elements around him, I’ve been tryna get to a comic con and get that boy signed 😂
I love that Aang took Ozai bending away, I think that was actually a fate worst than death for Ozai who built everything on his power and using it to rule with fear. Still a top 5 show for me and will always have a place in my heart, insane this was made by Nickelodeon
Please watch legend of Korra before the avatar movie. It’s not the worst thing if it’s out of order but Legend of Korra introduces some things that are in that movie so the first time the audience sees them is more meant for there.
@Diego Reyes Vince and Shoshana gotta see how everybody is at their peak yes that includes Sokka as well lol. The story happens before Korra exists you know this. If this movie was never made then so be it start The Legend Of Korra.
It’s a movie and it shows the gang all grown up
Sokka still whispering Water Tribe 🤐🤣
WATCH Avatar Aang the last Airbender, it just came out this year. It’s really good and you don’t need to watch legend of Korra to watch it..
I think they should do Korra first because of the type of bending the villain uses and also the city/island where the start and end of the movie are at.
So awesome you guys are checking out the movie! Think you guys will love it
I hope you all will watch the Legend of Korra.
Super great you got upload all 3 episodes. It’s been fun watching you react to this🔥
This show was like a great sendoff for prime Nickelodeon
Next is the Legend of Korra
🤞
