The Finale of Avatar the last airbender Book 1! Can't believe we are already here feels like we just started this last month LMAO! We actually did but book one has flown by and what an amazing first season it was. Truly can't wait to see what Book 2 has in store for us! The interesting part that wasn’t stated in the show is that Aang is already a master of airbending, because only airbending masters get tattoos. However, he is only a master of airbending, not the other elements. That’s why Katara, who has a natural talent for waterbending, was able to learn it faster and become better at it.
I love that you guys are reacting to this show. Regardless of it being made for a younger audience, almost all kid shows back then had storylines and themes for older people as well. I was worried when I saw the early comments on the first few reactions that it would stop you from watching but I'm grateful it hasn't. Truly great reactors and people who just appreciate media know that it has no bounds or age limits. You guys are able to see and understand the nuance and the depth of a tv show not targeted for an older crowd and I really respect your ability an willingness to do so. This show is a classic and an absolute gem and I'm excited to watch with you.

Book 3 is amazing, but honestly book 2 is my favorite.
One thing worth explaining moving forward, Aangs avatar state is strong. This one in the finale was a combination of Aangs power and the Ocean Spirits power. Basically using Aang as a vessel. So just don’t expect Aang to whip out the giant fish monster by himself😂

Just wanna make sure u guys understand what exactly happened when aang wit crazy at the end. So in a nutshell the ocean and moon spirit are eternal partners so when the moon spirt was killed the ocean spirit got pissed and possessed aang since he’s the avatar and used him as a host to channel his power and take out the fire nation. So it wasn’t just aangs avatar mode powers. That was literally the ocean spirit turning up lol that’s why the water tribe members bowed down like that.
I also came to comment this. I’m not sure why people (long term fans) thinks this was just base Aang when we see the ocean spirit grab Zhao after Aang had separated.

The Fire Lord, Ozai, which y'all just saw at the end, is voiced by Mark Hamill, who y'all know as Luke Skywalker. And if y'all look at the intro for the show, when Katara says, "Water", it shows that silhouette, and that's Master Pakku, and when she says, "Fire", that's Zuko's sister. It's not really spoilers because because Zuko literally mentioned his sister lol.
So far in the series, the Fire Lord's real name hasn't been stated. He has only been referred to as "the Fire Lord." Mentioning his name at this point is technically a spoiler. Likewise, knowing that Zuko has a sister is one thing, but identifying exactly who the silhouette in the intro is before she's properly introduced or seen in action is also a spoiler. Since you've already seen the show, it's easy to forget which details are common knowledge only in hindsight. Try to keep in mind what the show has actually revealed up to that point so they can experience those moments the way we did.

Really shows his kind-hearted nature even though he tries to mask it with an unwavering need for his honor. Wouldn't fight his dad and wouldn't kill Zhao (twice) Boy is an enigma.

That form Aang is using is essentially the ocean spirit channeling through Aang how Roku does at the fire temple. Great reaction!!

It’s easy to forget that things like names and character dynamics that seem incredibly obvious in hindsight are completely unknown for people watching for the first time. I think we all need to keep our excitement in check so we don't spoil things for them.

Ion know if you guys remember but back in “The Storm” episode. The flashback where Zuko gets burned, and we see Iroh look away, next to him you see a younger girl being amused by zuko being burned, that was his sister.
Vince mentioned that during the review after the 26:57 mark.
