Dexter: New Blood (Season 1 - Episode 10)

Fun fact: The writers wrote Logan's death as an accident. Dex broke his neck when he ducked to avoid a bullet, but no matter how they filmed it, rhey couldnt get it look that way, so they just went with it. So I see it as unintended. No less tragic, but not cold blooded murder.

I can't believe you skipped Original Sin. The coma was a greqt way to see how he started as a teenager and you both messed it up by skipping it. You say you like Angel Batista then don't fucking skip Oirignal Sin.

Worst ending. Super cop angela was such horrible writing. Dexter killing logan was so out of character and harrison betraying dexter was straight garbage writing. Harrison is such a bitch. Resurrection was made because how bad this ended. They needed to redeem themselves. Team dex all day.

I agree with you this was suppose to fix the bad ending of Season 8 . Now they got it right . I read what Resurrection is about. I'm nervous to start it because I feel it will taint the end we got. But I hear Uma Thurman in it. So maybe it will be good . I'm ready to go on the journey with you guys.

Damn. That town was screwed up with kurt already but Dexter definitely put a cherry on top. Killing an innocent cop like Logan. That’s not something dexter would ever do. I don’t look a mariah the same. She knew everything. How do I watch resurrection that’s messed up.

Dexter: Original Sin is more of a spinoff. It takes place about 15 years prior to the original Season 1. It has new actors playing the roles. Although Michael C. Hall is in it as Dexter's inner voice. It was fun and had the nostalgia factor for die-hard fans. It was greenlit for Season 2, but they decided to cancel it. I was bummed. Resurrection, like so many others have mentioned, is peak Dexter.

Seems strange how they would continue this with Dexter still alive but looking at the imdb rating for Resurrection it sure seems they pulled it off so I'm pretty excited to see how!

Original Sin is a prequel, really good idk why it’s not recommended more. The actors fit it well

The thing is the snow slowed dexters bleeding so he survives And main reason they made another show was because when this show released EVERYBODY hated this ending

I recommend watching the beginning of Dexter: original sin, even the whole show if you like, but the start and end of it are pretty much needed

I definitely agree with you about New Blood. Watching with you has been the first time I’ve revisited it since it originally aired in 2021. It is probably my least favorite season the franchise has put out unfortunately. Everyone was so hyped when this show was announced as well so it felt like a let down for so many fans. I will say though that Dexter Resurrection improves so much in quality and I can’t wait for you to check it out! Resurrection is up there with S1,S2 & S4 for me personally.

I still dont like newblood for its terrible writing. Especially this whole arc of Angela making random conclusions. This was so bad that they threw in some lazy writing to essentially retcon the ending to start Resurrection. Good thing resurrection made up for it.

So glad the next season is as good as it is so this all doesn't end with dexter being euthanized like old yeller

Teen acting is so hit or miss but Harrison fucking kills this episode like "its not even a passenger its driving" could have been so corny but he delivered it perfectly

Dexter original sins is prequel to the original show dexter when he was a lot younger.

Apparently original sins still works as a self contained series, it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger.

Dexter: Original Sin is a prequel set when he was 20 years old and still figuring out how to go about his killings. Harry is also alive and the common flashback scenes actually focus on Harry Morgan’s earlier life. The show had high ratings but because Dexter: Resurrection performed so well, they decided to put all their money into Resurrections and cancel Original Sins the prequel. If season 2 of Resurrections performs highly, the execs may decide to expand the franchise and bring back the cancelled series 2 of Original Sins which was meant to introduce a young Doakes to the Miami police force.

Dexter New blood is like the perfect show ending, but it was perfect, so people wanted more, and i can't believe how good ressurection is, it's fucking insane best dexter season ever so it's really cool, people who wants it to end here with that perfect ending can, and people who wants more can have it, Original sins it's the same, that was really fucking good

If it weren't for that fateful run in with Batista in NYC she wouldn't have even considered dexter.

I think original sin is a good season of a show. It did get renewed for a second but then the season was cancelled I believe due to the writers strike.

If yall want to watch resurrection I’d suggest original sin, it’s a bridge between the two series

Most of us fans HATED that he died and the way he died. All the episodes were 9 or above on IMDB until the finale, it was 4.5. Most of us fans weren't done with Dexter and wanted more.

Resurrection is PEAK and it was a lot closer with HOTD then I thought it would be but so glad it won.

None of the deaths were similar to the Bay Harbor Butcher. She didin't find a single body that was chopped up. And letting his son feel guilty for the rest of his life for killing his own father? I'm so glad Resurrection was soooo much better!

what a ending 🔥 the writing was spot on for me, Dexter literally went against his code with Logan then the flashbacks with our old characters solidifys the innocent people have been dying around Dexter for a while.. i could get down with that — Resurrection here we come & Shoshana your safe from all the teen stuff 🤣 this show wasn’t everyone’s favorite but imo it’s 1 of my favorite seasons even counting the OG show.
