I dont understand your feelings about thw show because I loved it, but I know many felt the same way as you. I just ask you to stick with it!! It's so worth it once you get to Resurrection! As far as Harrison, a normal teen can be a pain in the ass, but we have to remember that he was traumatized as a baby, whether he remembers or not, and then he was abandoned by his only living parent and had to suffer who knows what in foster care and on the street. Try to give him some grace.
Kurt enbalms his victims. In enbalming, the blood is removed and replaced with enbalming fluid, thereby preserving the body. Coincidentally, Michael C Hall's character in his last TV series, Six Feet Under, did this to many people! Great show btw!!

Spinoffs of shows don't seem as good especially if the original was good but I think it is decent and it gets better. I've only watched it once before these reactions but I remember alot but like many have said resurrection is better.

This show 100% exists purely because of how poorly the original finale was received - this was supposed to be The End, that's why it "doesn't feel like Dexter." So I really hope that they overlook that fact and still do Resurrection, even if they don't love New Blood - because that show IS Dexter, literally at its best.
This show is not great. It was so bad that they decided to sort of retcon this show by starting Dexter Resurrection which is amazing. Cant wait for u guys to start Dexter Resurrection. So dont worry if ur not feeling it.
so far i gotta say this shows been 3 for 3 with good episodes for me.. Dexter letting out that silent F is going in my top 5 Dex moments 🤣 W Harrison this episode & W Punisher mention too

Jennifer Carpenter is incredible in the role as always but the aggression Deb is showing is so off-putting and has such a weird tonal shift it's hard to take those moments seriously. Like Deb is dead and Dexter is aware she is just part of his imagination, why is there a realness to their interactions that was never there with Harry💀
Like whenever Dexter was doing something he knew Harry wouldn't approve of, he would just imagine Harry reprimanding him, he wouldn't imagine Harry trying to physically restrain him. Obviously Deb was much more firey than Harry and probably wouldn't be as passive even in Dexter's imagination, but this aggression still seems out of character for even imaginary Deb lol. I can't imagine why Dexter would remember her that way when she died on decent terms with him.
the guy who plays Kurt caldwell is called Clancy brown known for the guard in Shawshank redemption. Mr Krabs in SpongeBob and was in Daredevil.
