I was the same age as Aang when this show came out, and I immediately was hooked. There's plenty of cartoons from my childhood I'm nostalgic for, Rocket Power, Aaaagh! Real Monsters, Angry Beavers, etc. This is the only one I've come back to over and over through the years. The story starts off nice and simple, easy for kids to get into. It touches on some really heavy topics though, and has a lot of valuable lessons for people of any age. Uncle Iroh is the GOAT and I can't wait to see you guys get to know these amazing characters!

When monk gyatzos skeleton was found take note of how many fire nation skeletons were there he went out fighting took some with him
May I please ask if you could turn up the audio on your side just a tad for future episodes. These last 3, sometimes your voices get drowned out and I cannot hear what you are saying. Like at 16:50 and the first bit after 17:18 and 17:28. Never had this issue with any other videos of yours, to be clear. Loving the reactions guys glad you are clearly enjoying it already. It onyl gets better.

I wouldn’t listen to Drip Drop, Sean, or the other haters. This is a self-contained story that’s so good it doesn’t need to stretch for 6 seasons. Sit back and enjoy PEAK 💅🏻❤️
It’s actually a really good time to watch this. If you guys do end up loving this universe there is a sequel series called Legend of Korra. Whether you think it’s as good is debatable but I think it’s still very good and adds some great lore to the universe. There is also a live action show on Netflix following this series you’re watching that has a second season dropping this month. They’re also dropping a full animated movie soon, and another animated show in the universe is coming next year.
After hearing their breakdown, we gotta band together to get them to watch Legend of Korra... no matter how much hate that show gets , its still very solid and entertaining ... nothing beats the OG though. Great reaction!

In your discussion, I feel like you already get what makes this show so good and why I love it. How they portray the kid/comedy aspect vs the heavy and seriousness of a war is amazing. It's the characters and their development that really makes this show what it is
We don’t have enough content today that actually challenges kids. When I was growing up there was usually one TV in every house so they had to make family shows and movies that also appeals to adults, so you got more serious themes that kids could really wrestle with as they’re starting to form their worldviews. I see very little of that today, as everyone has multiple TVs, tablets, phones—there’s not as much “need” (and by need I mean the ad companies want easily marketable content for specific demographics) for family content that appeals to everyone.
I was 20 years old when this show came out, that's probably why I never watched it, it just wasn't on my radar. Getting a kick out of watching it for the first time with ya'll.
You're really in for something special especially as far as cartoons go avatar is like the gold standard in my opinion, just wait until season 3 there are literally only banger episodes that season
