EmuDeck Back to "School" !
Hi everyone, August is finally over and with that my vacations :D . Yesterday I had eye surgery so I'm writing this while only using one eye and a blurry one at that... so excuse me if I send some typos! I should be 100% in one or two days.
Quick recap and status of what's going on in EmuDeck land.
Desktop
Working on what was 3.0 but since It's a big under the hood change I've decided to pospone any new feature an release it named as 2.8 and leave the shiny new things for a 3.0 after that 2.8. I hope I can do an unstable early release this very month for both Linux and Windows.
Android
Work has been going steady but it's been a lot harder than expected, we've had to fork almost every emulator to make it compatible with cloud sync but we are getting there! I don't have an estimated release date for this but I'll keep sharing new progress with you in the coming weeks.
Hardware
I can't scratch the itch I have with making an EmuDeck Machine... I have some ideas but it's too early to tell, we'll see!
LifeTime licensees
Patreon has the issue that it can't "see" if a user has bought the lifetime license so things like Patreon Discord access, unstable builds, etc. needs to be done on an user per user basis so if you see that you are missing some stuff when going from a regular patron to a life time licensee please send me a DM with what you are missing and I'll it back to you!

I hope you feel well and better soon. Sorry but I have a problem with SRM, don't create the libraries for me and don't let me uninstall it to reinstall it, What I do is reset the configuration, but it still does not create them.

Little bit misleading, don't you think?
Hey, already sent you a DM. But yeah, it clearly says installer, not App! Not misleading. You can install it by connecting your Android device to either Windows or Linux installations of EmuDeck. The apk is coming as an update to the current installer since people have expressed they prefer to have an apk, so we are working on that, just a few weeks more and we'll release a beta version
Longtime user, new patreon member. Cloud sync between installations sold me, and I may just become a lifetime member soon after trying it out. Love to hear all the other work as well (app, desktop) as I'll be using them across PC, Android and Steamdeck. Keep up the good work!
why is there no Emudeck for android app? and yet it was advertised in your website????

Feel better....Looking forward to getting syncing working with Android devices. With this being said, how do I pull Switch and GameCube saves from my Android devices to put them in the cloud? I've been playing some games exclusively on my Android device, and want to be prepped for when this comes, hate to lose saves after all this time I put into them. As for going lifetime, when my renewal comes up, I might just jump to lifetime.

Hi, Duckstation is discontinuing Arch Linux support and blocking any forks from implementing support. Will there be an official statement to address how EmuDeck will deal with this situation? What alternatives can we look at?
DuckStation just want to stop being in the AUR arch package manager, they’ll keep building it for Linux so everything is good at least for now
