EmuDeck 2.3.10 Unstable & more stuff
New releases for the unstable branch ( might contain bugs! ) and some more stuff.
1 - SteamOS & Windows
Added new "Level of integration" selection page for Custom Mode so you can select how to use EmuDeck: By using EmulationStationDE, RetroLibrary ( SteamOS only ) or SRM. Should I add this page to Easy mode too? I need feedback on this :)
ESDE & Pegasus autoadd to Steam, when installing any of these frontends they will be added automatically to your Steam Library, no SRM needed!
Fixes logs not loading on Windows
2 - New Easy mode defaults:
- Windows will install ESDE by default, as it's the easiest way to play games on Windows
- SteamOS will install RetroLibrary by default, as the idea is to use this for novice users
ESDE, Pegasus and SRM will still be able to be installed using Custom mode or by using Manage Emulators to manually install them.
3 - RetroLibrary 1.5.0
RetroLibrary was created by the sole purpose of having the easiest way for newbie users to play games, without messing around with parsers, scraping artwork and metadata, etc. that's why I'm focusing on making it the default option for Easy Mode and optional on Custom Mode, but like I said... I'm open to feedback!
- I've pushed a new update with the final two themes: Steam and Retro, you can see how they look in the video above. Still needs some visual adjustments for resolutions other than the SteamDeck and is missing launching PS4 games. I'm still working on a Windows port
- Fixes PS3 artwork not showing
- Animations have been added and refined so the experience is more smooth
- Remembers last category and last game played when coming back from playing
4 - A new member comes to the team!
Please welcome David as a new member of EmuDeck, he'll be helping me specially with testing in what I believe has been the weakest side of EmuDeck so far, another set of eyes will help to have more stability and less bugs

Hello, Thank you for all the work you've done on Emudeck. I wanted to ask if it would be possible to bring to retrolibrary the ability to manually exclude roms (example of bios recognized as roms) and also be able to modify the art or add it when it is missing. I think this may seem out of context, as the philosophy of this tool is to automate everything and avoid any manual action. Thank you.
I am having issues installing ESDE on Windows, ESDE is shown to be installing, but there is no progress, even if it's left to install for hours.
It seems retro library has problems parsing .wua files for cemu.
should work, what's the issue, they don't appear?
I'm absolutely in love with RetroLibrary! I set up my emulators for kids, family and whatnot. Let's face it we just want to set back and enjoy a game, not fidget with everything under the hood just to play a game. All I want to do is find the game, click/tap/select it and play it! This is such an elegant design! I love how it keeps it out of my steam library and gives it a place of it's own! Just beautiful 😍❤️ Keep up the good work! And thank you!
That's the idea. Something that lets you do that, just find the game and play it, no need to look for artwork or add it to steam, etc. Glad that you are enjoying it :)
What is going on with this updated version FIRST I couldn’t find my roms !!! Than I had to delete dolphin and ESDE and emudeck and restart everything ! And now the ps2 emulator doesn’t come with the emudeck even when it says it’s downloaded….. I need help….0
Hey please post on our Discord support forums, easier to help you over there
Request guide or tutorial to use single external ssd, sd card, or thumbdrive for emudeck Emulation folder that can be used in multiple devices eg. Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion GO, Bazzite. Also a guide on how to add custom folders and emulators to cloud sync e.g. Scraped data folder for ESDE, mod folders, proton version of ppsspp hold, etc
at the moment the emulation folder can't be shared, I'm working towards that though, but I don't have an estimated time for that. Custom emulators is not something that can be done by the user unless modifying EmuDeck and that can broke stuff so we'll only support the emulators we install. There are more emulators coming soon...
Can you add the Citron (Switch) emulator? https://git.citron-emu.org/Citron/Citron/releases
:)
I have a question. Can I use emudeck cloud saves to sync with my android or like anbernic devices? Or is that just like windows to other windows or steamos devjces
only windows / linux for now
Retro Library still has a bit to go before I can embrace it if we can get like the removal, filter of multi disc to CD based CHD,Cue,bin files and let us choose which Emulator to use I could really get behind Retro Library cause honestly I love the concept and I think it loads quicker than Emulation Station
Enjoying the Software all together tho haven’t really had to many issues with it
Welcome david.
I'm si glad of supporting You. Thanks so much!
Can someone please get back to me
