Uncensored is actually much different. I stopped watching at one point, since the censorship was starting to get annoying and i couldn't find the uncensored version anywhere. Sometimes, you have the screen going half or near completely black because of the censorship. Which can really take you out of it.

They make the censorship for the TV version and unfortunately all streaming platforms use that version, so if you want to watch it uncensored, the only legal way to my knowledge would be from the Blu-ray directly. It's got some improvements in the animation as well, as Blu-ray versions often do, but I wouldn't say it's absolutely necessary, so it's up to you if you want the best viewing experience or if you're fine with the occasional black covering on blood and stuff!

I figure that outside of his persona that, just being a douche is a means to protect the people around him via distancing himself from them, but yeah... He is kinda arrogant. Kinda makes sense that, that is the characteristic he puts forth on the outside; but he really does do most of this for his mom and has family values, even if they are clouded by him being a 16 year old trapped in a giant's muscular testosterone enraged body. I mean, I would, if I were jacked like that. People say, retrospectively, in the biblical age, "I wouldn't do that..." But, fact be, I know I wouldn't be infallible. Big ass muscles like that? Sam I am, I would jacked and tan, I'd act like a knob too.

i get what u mean by jotaro being the least prominent mc so far, and it kind of seems to be done on purpose, but that will change. Theres a reason a lot of anime fans refer to jotaro as the MAIN jojo of the entire series.

oh they're taking a plane, I'm glad they're choosing the safest and also fastest mode of transport to get to Egypt quickly, especially considering Joseph never caused even a single plane to crash before, let alone two. Since they'll be in Egypt so quickly, they're probably gonna spend most of part three playing backgammon and billiards against DIO since they won't have any trouble getting to him

Luke you can find the uncensored version by watching on animepahe . Any bluray version of JoJo is uncensored. Honestly the censoring becomes ridiculous because they just slap giant black blobs where the violence comes. And it’s throughout the show.

I think Holly's stand is similar to Joseph's because of the bloodline and Dio has Jonathan's body which is how he has hermit purple also Joseph's stand requires him to break a camera to print out the spirit photo lmao

The thing about the uncensored is that JoJo’s definitely gets a bunch of censoring from part 3 and on and you will probably miss a bunch of references without it as well

DIO could have the same power as Joseph because of Jonathans body. They all are descendants of him, so that would make sense. Also there was a theory that Star Platinum is Jonathans soul. DIO got Jonathans body, Jotaro his soul. Jonathan once said that when he dies he would haunt DIO. Jonathan in his 'fighting' uniform had regular clothes and weird shoulder pads, Star Platinum has Shoulder Pads (but thats a streach I think) Both have blue/purple(ish) tint in thier characters Both have good precision (Jonathan by training with Hamon and wine glass) And both punch things

And you'll see as it goes on that Hermit Purple has other uses aside from the photography thing.

the uncensored version isn't just uncensored, it massively improves the animation, adds extra frames of animation, fixes errors, and removes black splotches that are used for censorship.

stands have nothing to do with jojo or dio. they have always been a thing and anyone can have them. the dio curse is that dio's stand resonated with jonathan's body and so all of his descendants, the jojos, manifest stands as well.

I don't quite remember with part 3 specifically but part 4 had some really questionable animation and looks in some scenes that was fixed up with the blue-ray/uncensored version.

Yeah, they explain the charisma thing pretty poorly. I believe what Joseph was implying is that DIO would lure his victims in with his charisma, and then implant the flesh bud in their head.

btw in the uk, we do use centimetres to measure and the metric system for everything. i thinks its only speed limits and older people that use the imperial system

Part 3 has the best flow, until it doesn't , then it has the worst flow. If you want a part that feels like a movie then I guess part 5 or part 7 . But part 3 is still really enjoyable, it's the part that made me read the manga because I couldn't wait for the next episode.

So I will explain regarding the "brainwashing" coming from the buds. The buds themselves don't control the hosts. What they do is that they stimulate "awe" in the person that gets implanted with them with the awe being directed towards a specific person. In this case the person is Dio the one who implanted the parasite. When the infected people see Dio, they think he is the most charismatic son of a gun ever to walk this planet, and would do anything to get approval or be of any help to Dio. So the people are still autonomous and still retain their personalities (they are not controlled by a puppeteer), they are just "controlled" to have incredibly positive feelings towards Dio, without understanding why, and would do anything for him.
