Sunrise(berry), Sunset(berry)
From March 11th - July 7th, 2026, I documented the growth of the same raspberry branch tip.
Watching my plants change infinitesimally as they grow is my #1 favorite thing about gardening.
My phone is stuffed with literally thousands of pictures of my plants, documenting their tiny, incremental changes over days. This is magic to me. This is the divine.
(Support fork added because the berries were pulling the branch down too hard)
As tempted as I was, I made the decision not to pick any of these berries so I could document their full life cycle. It was... difficult.
A whole life! From leaf bud to expired branch. I don't believe in God but this, to me, is holy.

What a cool idea! I also have tons of plant progress pics on my phone, but it never occurred to me to document one part of one plant methodically start to finish
It’s fun!!
Ultimate form of orgasm denial
DYLAN.
The support fork is so brilliant! I can't fathom your willpower to let those berries do their whole berry life cycle. I wouldn't survive.
Hahaha fortunately I still had the entire rest of my raspberry forest to graze from- if I had had a smaller haul, i DEFINITELY would have eaten these.
"Watching my plants change infinitesimally as they grow is my #1 favorite thing about gardening. " YES!!!!
A beautiful timelapse.
Remarkable restraint, not picking & immediately eating those berries.
It was VERY HARD.
❤️❤️❤️
