November Projects Round-Up

In November I made some autobio comics, re-discovered my love of the mid-2010s show The Magicians, dusted off some fanart embroidery I made for it a while ago, whipped myself up a new bit of fanart for it in the form of a paper-crafted crown, finished my paper recreation of the stolen Louvre jewels, wrote a bit about how I fucked up in real life, and also opened up about having to pivot my career plan for the next two years. Read on!

Oh wait, but first: You can get all of my graphic novel eBooks (that I own the rights to) for a freaking song in my shop. $3 for individual stories, $5 for Space Camp (my memoir about my month in the mental hospital), $30 for all ~2,000 pages of the Oh Joy Sex Toy/Drawn to Sex/DAR!/Space Camp books... Like, what! That's nuts. Ok. Now you can catch up on my November bullshit:

A Magic Wand Weekend

The Magic Wand sex toy company flew me down to report on a masturbation conference and here is my comic report! Also, patrons get to see my accompanying Behind the Scenes: A Magic Wand Weekend post with my sketches and photos and shit.

Seven Golden Keys

Matt and I have begun re-watching The Magicians and WOW my love is reignited! I dusted off this fan art embroidery that I made six years ago and this time released the key design I made as a downloadable template so anyone can use it in their own Magicians-y crafts. Only catch is, if you use it, you have to show me what you make.

High King Margo's Crown

Riding the high of my The Magicians infatuation, I went and recreated High King Margo's crown... out of paper.

Stolen Louvre Jewels

Yes, this was included in last month's wrap-up, but technically I shared this final post this month and I'm still hella proud of it so once again: The stolen Louvre jewels recreated in paper!

🔒Where do I go from here? 🔒 Patrons Only

My beautiful career plan seems to be foiled. Maybe. I don't know. I'm trying to recalculate what the next two years of my professional life look like.

🔒I am the baddie. 🔒 Patrons Only

I fucked up.

Elsewhere on the internet, I made a very funny joke about the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, reconnected with a commissioner who hired me to design their octopus tattoo a decade ago, produced a couple $30 sketches for my studio's Etsy shop (A Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy collab penciled by Steve Lieber and my own inked sketch of Harley Quinn on her own), dusted off a heart-y octopus screen print I made a decade ago, a drawing of mine from 20 years ago resurfaced, and I revealed what my life looked like as an 18 year old in 2001.

Alright, that's it! Tell your friends about my shop! I'll see you next month!
