Rock, Paper, Scissors
Ok, so where we left off last time, I had made the flat crown face:
Next up, I needed to make the necklace.
So I just did the same process as before! Black construction paper, iridescent purple/teal/blue paper, scissors, hole punch, tape, and glue!
And next thing ya know, voila! (Pay no mind to the clear tape visibly peeking out from behind the black construction paper)
Then I had a paper crown and necklace, fit for (paper doll) royalty!
Combined with my $20 Goodwill dress, that Halloween evening I was... ✨transformed✨
Honestly, I wish I'd made these out of more durable materials because these are fun to wear. But then again, I only had two days to make them, so the fact that they were done in time was kind of a miracle. Dude, I was making that necklace while it was getting dark on Halloween evening! I was literally racing against the sun to finish it before the trick-or-treaters showed up!
So where did I show off this stunning outfit? My house. Oh, and I ran out to feed a friend's cat, but other than that: this ensemble was assembled entirely for the dozen or so children and teens who knocked on my door for candy. And they did not give two shits about the ridiculous middle-age lady festooned in sequins.
There was this one group of teens who tried to explain that they had all dressed up as Derek Mystery ("A niche internet celebrity") when one of them exclaimed, "Derek Mystery is GOATED" and then another one looked at me with sincerity and explained "That means he's cool." With a perfectly straight face, I told her, "Thank you for translating for me."
So, yeah! That was my hot Halloween night! Dressed up, gave out candy, fed a friend's cat, and then was tucked into bed by, like, 10 or something. ...Actually, it may have been earlier. I've been really sleepy since the sun is setting earlier and earlier. Does this 42-year-old know how to Halloween it up or what?

That is _stunning_! Thank you for letting us be the wider audience for this amazing work. Also, is that a ceramic bootie?
