Copyright Drama... intensifies...
As some of you might know, I had a FALSE copyright claim last month – which I then disputed - as I'm most definitely NOT using the song that they claim I am (i.e. said song only came out THIS year) in a video that I released back in 2019.
In fact, I’ve been using the same (creative commons) intro music by Kevin MacLeod/Incompetech since the very beginning… so I SHOULD be 100% in the clear (that's the whole point of using creative commons music in the first place).
However, ‘they’ (i.e. the nameless music company/artist) have waited for the 30 day timer on the dispute to tick down to the last day or two – and then doubled down... deeming it a valid claim - and have had the video taken down AGAIN!
Now, I get one last chance to appeal this – but if that fails (as the decision always seems to be in ‘their’ hands) the video gets deleted forever and the channel gets a strike (even though I’ve done absolutely nothing wrong).
And if ‘they’ are successful, I fear that other videos might suffer a similar fate (as they all use the same music) - which, you have to admit, is a rather disturbing thought.
So yeah… as you can imagine, I’m not feeling very ‘creative’ at the moment, as I now have to deal with this unnecessary BS (rather than just sitting down and making/sharing new stuff :( ).
Anyway, apologies for the whinge… I just needed to vent a little (as well as keeping you all updated on the situation).
(note that I am keeping Kevin MacLeod up to date with these shenanigans - as it’s HIS work that they are effectively trying to claim)

So sorry to hear about this situation, I can truly related to what you are facing and I hope it will be solve very soon without you loosing any of your post. Your work is amazing and a great source of inspiration.
Thanks. Hopefully your own issues got sorted out in the end too!
Sorry to hear that these trolls are causing you such trouble. Here’s hoping YT gets this straightened out quickly!
Thanks. I don't have much hope... but I can always re-upload somewhere else if it comes to that I suppose :( (it's just far from ideal that 'they' can take stuff down on a whim without any proof at all).
