Heavyweight slop / Spence falls short / Boxing ATG mailbag
Neither Tyson Fury nor Anthony Joshua impressed this past weekend, and their much-awaited clash appears less interesting than ever. Tim Tszyu made the necessary adjustment against Errol Spence to convince the latter a comeback was a bad idea.
And then I open up the mailbag to talk about YOUR choices, as I weigh up the achievements and skills of a wide variety of all-time great boxers. Will I be discussing the GOAT? An under-achiever? A never-was? Someone that I've always considered overrated? Well you guys threw some names at me and I have provided career rundowns for all of them!

What are your favorite jmma matches of all time
Who are your all time favorite action fighters across all combat sports
Matthew Saad Muhammad and Robbie Lawler for sure. But the likes of Danny Lopez, Bobby Chacon, Justin Gaethje, Evander Holyfield would all be up there too! I wrote about some of the most action-packed fights of all time before you might enjoy this https://www.thefight-site.com/home/the-ferocious-four-and-all-their-fights-ranked
Superb episode! A lot of good boxers covered, have seen quite a few 2 and 3 minute clips of the Tancy Lee - Jimmy Wilde, would never get away with any of it in modern day! Have you seen the Benny Lynch mural in Glasgow? Im past it quite often when Im up that way. Watching Whitaker & Ray Robinson is some of the most fun I have, proper eye test boxers. Looking forward to what I imagine will be extensive discussion with you and Remy Mac about the Morales Barrera trilogy, had the DVDs of that for 20 years! Definitely do an MMA one, I have a few names for that. Trump impression is terrifingly good, it would suit an MMA one!
I agree with this guy!! 👆 whole episode in your Trump impression!! Also I’d love to hear a discussion/breakdown of Dwight Muhammad qawi. I’ve been harassing the heavyhands boys but they hate there patrons so I’ll ask the big K
Qawi is a great shout!!!
I got into boxing in 2014 and MMA in 2016. I have never had such little interest in either as I do these days. Are both sports objectively less interesting compared to a few years ago? Also, you should do an entire episode in your Donald Trump voice. I’d upgrade my membership for that. Lol
I think boxing has had a really interesting period, with big fights happening with regularity in a way they hadn’t in decades. Agreed that UFC is spreading itself thin but its highs are still worth celebrating/enough interesting fights to keep me coming back. Just few and far between unfortunately.
