The Top 10 Punchers in MMA History
I'm joined by two of the best guys in the business for this long, sprawling MMA retrospective, as Feno of The Fight Site and Ryan Wagner of Mixing Martial Arts offer their takes and breakdowns on these immensely powerful fighters and we come to a consensus on who the top 10 punchers in MMA history really are.
Well, not really. But as a springboard to a great discussion it's as good a topic as any, and I hope to my listeners adding their own lists in the comments below!
A great complimentary piece to this episode was produced by Feno for The Fight Site, and you should check it out on YouTube

Great stuff from Feno and Kyle
Great episode. Thanks. Talking Henderson: A lot of the Team Quest fellas were Greco- … Lindland, Couture, Henderson. I think it was a bigger deal in the US back then as you say and a bunch of them got together to have second chances athletically. The rules of Greco-Roman are so specific you don’t see it transfer technically to MMA but they are all made of teak. Also (though he’s not top 10 and it’s largely because of the fondness I feel for him) I always think of Jens Pulver when it comes to punching power that hurt bigger guys, even though he was often still too small to beat them. PS you can never take Paul Daley away from me…
Glad you liked it! Pulver a good shout, we bandied about Gomi as well beforehand. Feno mentioned his long list during the pod, including some fighters we never got round to discussing on the pod. Here it is! Honorable mentions by weightclass: 125: Lineker, Fig 135: Garbrandt, Kid Yamamoto 145: Mendes, Conor 155: Gaethje, Poirier, MJ, Gomi 170: Semtex, Ellenberger, Hendricks, Woodley 185: Romero, Vitor 205: Chuck, Shogun, Soukoudjou 265: Lewis, Carwin, Pavlovich
Always great when fight site boys are on here
Loved this pod! So many fights I’m going to go back & watch now!
