306 - I am on MySpace now.
Hello there, dear bros. How is life? All is good? I am about to unleash another Monday Post on you! Here it comes! I can't contain it! There is no escape! MONDAY POST #306!!!
Mr.Lazare. Our official (but unpaid) merch producer sent me another box full of absolutely insanely amazing stuff based (mostly) on my work. I was hoping to share the video of me unboxing the package but real world has interfered with my plans, and I wasn't able to finish editing the video in time. But since I promised to share it today I decided to do at least something and make a few pictures at least. (There is a chance I will never release the video. We'll see how it goes).
As you can see there were many (and I mean MANY) awesome stickers of all kinds in that box :) I have a pile of stickers now waiting for me to decide what to do with them. Unfortunately, for now I am way too busy with the work to be able to do anything at all with them.
There were also two puzzles. I will be honest with you, I am not sure what I am supposed to do with them. XD One of the ideas is to host a Livestream where I try to assemble one of these puzzles LIVE while chatting with you guys :)
There were also 3 lighters in that package. I don't smoke but seeing this lighter made me want to buy a cigar. I mean a man that would use a lighter like this to light anything at all is obviously a very successful man. This particular one shall become my family heirloom, I shall leave it to my grandchildren.
And there was this small 2 in 1 poster for Princess Trainer. It changes from Princess Trainer to Princess Trainer Gold Edition poster, depending on the viewing angle :)
Also there were two awesome mugs. One is completely black but reveals some family friendly content when things get hot. ^_^
More stickers! AND EVEN MORE STICKERS! And even a few refrigerator magnets. Taking individual pictures of each would take too long. I can only imagine how much time (AND MONEY) Mr.Lazare have spent on all of this. 0_0
To other news. I found a very interesting channel on YouTube. I don't know if the girl who makes the vids is a genius or is being produced by somebody smart, but her videos look and sound like if they were recorded in the 00's. She is too young to have experienced that era herself so this level of authenticity in her videos is very suspicious. Not only that. She also has a website and it looks like this:
Personally I absolutely love that esthetic and as some of you might remember my own website looked a bit similar at one point. Well in any case, thanks to all this I have discovered that 3 years ago some German guy have created a MySpace clone. It is retro, it has no ads, it's absolutely fucking fantastic! Believe it or not but that is something I always wished somebody would do, and apparently it was already in existence for 3 fucking years and I did not know! Naturally I created an account right away. To be honest I doubt I will be actually using it, but I just had to create a profile and use the most nostalgic layout for it!
The work. Finally the time has come to talk about the work. Well, actually I have no news to share. I am doing a lot of various adjustments and rewrites and testing, so that I can't name anything big that I did really. During this week I will be mostly doing the same I am afraid. Maybe there will be a couple of new WIP drawings but it is not certain. Anyway, for now I have no news to share about the work.
And that is all I have to say for now. Thank you for your support guys and I will see you all next week. Laterz.

Are we gonna see some art on Displate?
………🤨 MySpace’s still a thing?
Maybe a stupid question, but is there a way to get the merch atm? I was thinking about getting some stuff but cant find a store
The merch you see in the pictures above was created by a fan and sent to me free of charge. It is not an actual merch I am selling at the moment. I am trying to figure out a way to do it though. For now the only store I have is this one: https://akabur.creator-spring.com I plan to add some stuff there soon, but all of it will be SFW.
Damn, mr.Lazare's work is amazing as always. I really like the jigsaw puzzle, I might have to get one myself if I have chance. I like the livestream idea, would love to tune in and hopefully I will not have to work then. When it comes to work I am happy that you're giving it polish. I said it before, and I'll say it again, it's what differentiates good game from a great game. All the best, as always and have a blessed week!
Yes, let's hope I find that time to do a livestream like that :)
Has there been any release for this game yet that i've maybe missed? Or is it all still pre-release
Yeah, it's been 2 years+ plus now without me releasing anything. This is a bit scary but I hope to rectify that soon*. As a general rule I try to release fully finished games. SC34 was an acceptation but it had episodical structure and every episode was always finished before release. I don't like all that BETA, early access stuff. It ruins the first impression.
Good Aladdin picture.
Yeah. Sadly that version of him didn't have many chances to participate in a story yet.
Thanks for the Monday post Aka! and some very fine work from Mr.Lazare, I find the poster to be my favorite it looks amazing!
Yeah. The poster reflective thing is absolutely perfect. I'll freaking cherish that thing.
The good thing is that each puzzle is 1000 pieces long, so we'll really have time to ask you lots of questions if you do them in livestream... But I think everyone would rather see you draw! I didn't know Brahkie, the content intrigues me, I'll have a look at her channel. As for her site or the MySpace clone, it brings back a lot of nostalgia. I started making websites in 97/98 and they were a lot in that style. Thanks for the update and good luck with the rest of the work, hoping you'll take the time to enjoy the holidays 🎅
I need to know if its possible for me to obtain the puzzles. I enjoy puzzles and these may need to be added to the collection
I can't read your post in front of the wife anymore. She saw the lighters (I have a collection) , no you can't was all I heard.
😀
Good grief, that's a ton of merch options... you guys going to open a store? lol! Glad you got some fun things, I hope you have a great week and a lovely holiday season!
I want just to go outside and sell these on the street. Old school style :) I hope you had a good week as well, Trevor.
Does Lazare have wine glasses in his collection?
Not yet, but I must admit I've been tempted. Then I'll have to save some ideas for after Queen Trainer's release 😉
This week's gif is from: Justin Bieber: Never Say Never
Thank you :)
not to be mean or something but is those merch comes from european Belgian company Smartphoto, it is a very bad company. I worked there for 3 years in that factory (yes i am a belgian) and the fired me this year with the reason i am to slow i sad i have a autisme side and that is the reason but then they said: a i don must make fake excuses. but aside of that i like that merch
Hello WarXan97, Yes, some of the goodies come from SmartPhoto. Not the stickers, but the Christmas ornaments and puzzles, for example. To be honest, I didn't look into the ethical side of this company before ordering. I'm sorry to hear that apparently they don't have much regard for their employees. From now on I won't order anything from them, I know enough alternatives elsewhere and I'm looking for better quality than what they offer anyway. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and I'm sorry if I've hurt you by associating this brand that has harmed you with the contents of a creator you appreciate (Akabur has nothing to do with it, he didn't ask for anything and it's all my own initiative and choice). I wish you the best
Please, sir, I need a crumb of hope for the Holidays... Do you have a rough ETA for 1.0? maybe an early access QT? Alpha build? OTL
Hi. Sorry but all of those things you mentioned I never do. Alpha builds rob me of a chance to give you a good first impression. Early access is the same: knowingly releasing unfinished product. And definitely no ETA, because unless the game is already finished that would be purely guess work. People (or companies) who give ETAs usually have ulterior motives: impressing investors, selling pre-orders and such. All I can say I am doing my best. It is what it is, sorry. OTL Thank you for supporting me despite my stubborness.
OMG, so much good merch, and be careful tthat myspace sound so modern, I don't want you to become hooked to this new and modern social media platforms XD keep it up
Ha-ha-ha. Yeah, that myspace could be addicting XD Also yes, that merch is absolutely fantastic. T_T
Old school community pages 😍The well defined menus, the text boxes, trying to customize the hell out of one's own little space - I remember them fondly too! Best of luck with the testing and tweaking, monseur A! If there ever is a big indie game expo in Sweden, please bring thos stickers and I'll come and buy too many xD
Exactly. The buttons that you can see well, everything is highly functional but at the same time customizable :) And no fucking algorithms or ads. Yes, maybe one day I rent a small desk somewhere in a corner at some expo and just hand out some of these stickers to those who are in the know XD
Is there anyway that merch can be sold? It’s so cool, you’ve shown family friendly stickers I would really really really want. I’m sure a lot of us would buy the stuff. But also looking forward to your next update next week. Have a good one.
Yes it's very tempting to be honest. But this would take away from my work time so I am hesitant. Also I think it would look bad if I start trying to sell merch or whatever before releasing a game that's been in development for quite some time now. I am thinking about it though. I hope to figure something out :)
That old website aesthetics that has been considered as "old" or "amateur looking" at some point, now became something that has its own unique charm to me. Or maybe I'm just becoming really old 😪
Personally I appreciate the simplicity of it. But of course it has a thick layer of nostalgy as well :)
I was served that PSP vid through my recommendations as well. Her videos and website were very interesting. It seems like it's either a character, or it's for something else. Either way it was fun looking at "new" old-internet styled stuff.
Yeah. I figured her channel will get big soon since the algorithm picked it up it seems.
