305 - Persona 5 Is Not For Me.
Hello there loyal bros! Time for another Monday post! Ready or not here it comes! ^_^
Mr.Lazare sent me another package. I didn't open it yet. The plan was to do it yesterday and record another epic unpacking video, but so unexpected stuff happened and I had to postpone that. And now it's Monday already and I definitely won't be able to do it today. Well I'll try to do it until next Monday at list. Feel free to look forward to it. I'm sure there is some exciting stuff inside that box.
Persona 5. I will keep this short. I bought the game digitally for my PS4 when it was first released. Played it for about 10 hours but could not get into it. Now I bought it physically for my Switch. Played it for about 20 hours and absolutely disliked pretty much every aspect of it. It's a bloated mess full of high-budget unnecessary stuff. (And the cat comments on EVERYTHING, even me saving the game.) Just to make sure that I am not going crazy I tried loading up Persona 3 Portable again and within minutes I felt like I am part of that world: making decisions, going to school, meeting people. With Persona 5 all I felt was disappointment. I see why so many people would say that Persona 5 is "the best persona evar", but it's definitely not a game for me. I will be taking my cartridge to the used games store. Persona 3 and 4 will always be the best ones for me.
Agarest War Mariage. Playing this one right now and loving it. About 20 hours in now. As an adult I usually don't have much free time so I have learned to detest grinding and leveling up in games, but in this game (to my surprise) grinding just feels good. This game was originally released on PSP way back when. It's somewhat simple but I enjoy it a lot so far. And I don't have to force myself to keep on playing like I did with Persona 5. -_-

The work. As for the work, I am finishing up the New Years event. Yeah, it took a while but now it carries a proper punch and really makes you feel like a proper milestone in the game's world. Now the event is properly big and complex. I am content. ^_^

I worked 3 years at smartphoto, the bosses are mean fired me this year because i am little slow, told them that it is my autism answer my i don't have to make a fake reason for it
I liked P5Royal a lot, but Morgana the cat was super obnoxious. Awful character, worst part of the game.
Yes... One of my many problems with that game. Another HUGE issue was the motivation of the characters (at least during the first 20 hours). The things they do seem a bit obnoxious. There is no urgency, they have plenty of choice but decided to play heroes. -_-
Glad you are doing alright. I had disappeared because of irl stuff and a lot of work. I don't even remember resting throughout last few weeks. As always, I can't wait for the game to come out, it will be glorious. Also, while personally I enjoyed P5R it wasn't close to P3P or P4G, so I understand what you mean by disliking it. Honestly, I might play remake of P3 just to delude myself that you can actually romance Toriumi/Maya. Hopefully see you again next week! All the best, and keep up the good work, Aka

Hi. Hermione is the permanent resident of the roster now, so the answer is yes. Although keep in mind that the game I am working on now won't have her.
I preety much agree with everything you sais about P5. In some ways they wen in a bold new direction, of being like a lot of other games. Its become a victim of its own success, and the hardcore will probably be left behind. Though P5 Royal sounded like it fixed a lot of gripes I had, P5 still takes way to long to get rolling, its way to hand holdey, and while. While P3 and 4 could be long, they are really like 60-80 hours, and P5 is more likely to suck away like 130 on one run
Yeah, that's pretty much how I felt. They explain every single things multiple times. Anyway, thank you for your comment, I feel a bit better.
P5 is easily my favorite but I hope P3Re ends up working for you and isn't too "P5-y"
As for P3 I beat it multiple times, both PSP version (portable) and PSone version. Also I beat P4Golden back in the day. Those games are one of my all time favorites. That's why I was so surprised to feel like that about Persona 5. And I didn't gave up easily, I bought once for PS4 and one more time for Switch, and still could not get into it at all. Oh well. -_- Oh, and just so you know, pretty much everyone I know shares the same opinion on Persona 5 as you do: the absolutely love it.

Definitely not into Persona 5. 3 was my golden zone. I found the characters much less obnoxious and everything less galling! As for the game work, hurrah! One more event down! Rolling right along!

Yeah. I tried Agarest War 1 on my PS3 long time ago. Still remember the pigtailed dark elf waifu. The whole generations things put me off though. Now I am older and wiser and curious to give it another go :)
I have noticed a lot of people the started with Persona 5 prefer it. Part of my problem with 5 is probably how easy it feels. I was expecting to be darker from the trailers which probably didn't help.
Yes, this is my impression as well: people who never played a Persona game absolutely love the 5th one.
