We are now in September and the updates to my games have been very slow. And how's it going with the new project, we're already past august. And I haven't told anyone about it.

Willing Temptations is approaching the end of v0.4.x series of updates. The tail end of v0.4 of WT would signal the completion of the game's main story. For better or worse, the game's direction changed a bit so the story is allowed to end. Classic Date, there's a lot I could've done better, I've been struggling quite a bit with my people as our vision doesn't align with one another. I know what they want, but I couldn't give it to them.

Classic Date is pretty much all improv. I was really happy when I first started it though, v0.4.4 got people a little spooked with how there's little to no content in it, but it has a few setup of the big content coming in v0.4.5, and when I delivered it to them, I see a bit of enthusiasm. Going all in on lewd scenes. I'm glad people liked it, and I like it too. Very much.

v0.4.6 I design it to be something special, something feral, but criticism followed through its development post-v0.4.5 that I am "this", I am "that", v0.4.6 gotta be something something amazing or things gonna go bad. A lot of pressure I gotta endure, the development hasn't been fun as I also sacrifice my time for my passion project, LC, and I felt like i'm being forced to do something I don't want. Simply put, I wasn't having a good time.

I cut a lot of lewd scenes, I changed Ten's route completely. From having a nice hardcore NTR gym session with slow degradation of MC losing his wife, I turned it to a story piece and just end the route there.

By the time v0.4.7 is finished, I decided to turn the ship around, delay the update and work on the vanilla route which would end up becoming v0.4.8. By this time, I've regained some of my passion to work on the game. I'm having a ton of fun working on different aspects of the game, adding stuff to the anniversary, adding stuff to Ondo's NTS route, giving option at the beach to have Lexi doing lewd stuff with MC instead of messing around.

It was the best thing I did for myself at that moment.

In the development of WT's v0.4.9, I'm also working in parallel with my passion project, LC's v0.2.6, and I have pretty much regained all my passion back for WT. I'm significantly more motivated to get Crazy Date have good and satisfying routes.

There seems to be a conflict in light of the few recent updates of Willing Temptations. Between Vanilla and NTR. Which side I'm on?

It's a weird thing for people to assume things about me.

NTR stuff in WT is going crazy, but despite that, I still work on Vanilla, it's not something I get pressured to do, my intention has been there since the beginning of WT. It is to my believe that Vanilla route enhances NTR portion of the game, because you have a choice there, and I don't want to just have Vanilla be this cookie cutter route with nothing in it either.

So, can I not like both things at once? I know I'm pretty greedy in that regard.

Soft NTR, NTS, Hardcore NTR. Why NTR too soft? Why NTR too much? Why NTS so stupid?

Everybody likes different things, and I'm in the unfortunate position where I seem to have the widest range of likes to different things that people seem to assume that something unrelated affects the thing I'm making. Why would I soften an NTR to an audience of people who doesn't like NTR? I already have a portion of content for those, it's called Vanilla.

There is no point for me to cater to Vanilla audience by making them an NTR content, however soft it is, they're not gonna like it. They're not even gonna bother with it at all.

I make soft NTR because I liked it! Hell, I loved it! I'm sitting here, itching, itching to make it again.

The three endings of Crazy Date is going to be that. Soft NTR, NTS, and Hardcore NTR. At least to my definition of Soft and Hardcore of this content.

There was a mention a while back about a new project by the end of august where supposedly after WT has finished its main story, that I would work on a new project. Unfortunately, WT has not finished its main story yet, so that means, I have not worked on any new project. It's a bummer, but I want to stay committed to the things I said before.

I have all sorts of ideas for VN projects. It would be a shame if I don't make them in my lifetime. I also want to work on some LN projects when I have time. It would be great if I can finish those and adapt them into a VN someday. More stuff in the back catalog.

For now, I'm going to keep working on both Willing Temptations and Lasting Connections.

And that should be it for the 90th development news. It's a new one-time off format of a diary. There's not a lot of stuff to talk about the new updates as it's still sometime away. But alright, y'all. Hope you're well. Have a great day, everyone.
