Why is it taboo for women to talk about sex?
PR chief Angela Eremenko resigned after being called a "brainless whore" and a "pervert" in Ukraine. The political scientist and mum-of-one was an aide to the head of the country's central election commission in charge of communications.
On her "Bad Mama" social media account she told of trying to use the broken vibrator her boyfriend gave her on Valentine's Day. She explained that her "super sophisticated" sex toy was no good as a "satisfier" because it was broken and failed to charge. The post caused outrage in conservative Ukraine, with many irate and offensive comments.
"Society is not ready for a person to be a human being working for the state", Angela says. She urged her critics to have sex rather than leave hateful comments. "Can you imagine, I was bullied out of my job after blogging about my broken sex toy that failed to satisfy me. Why shouldn't I be open about sex? Why is it so difficult to talk about sex?"
Angela is being passionate about rewriting the sex talk.
