I Was a Famous Fashion Model, Until I Found What Really Motivates Me.
Lucie Beatrix is a fashion model turned competitive athlete sharing her love of running with athletes of all walks of life.
As a matter of fact, Lucie was the furthest thing from an athlete growing up. Frequently exempt from P.E. class, she would do just about anything to get out of physical activity.
Then, it all turned around when Hurricane Sandy blew through NYC. As a successful fashion model working for all the biggest names in the fashion industry, Lucie's entire life was put on hold since the city was shut down due to the storm. On a whim, she hopped on the treadmill in her building's gym. For the very first time, she trudged through a bunch of miles and realized something—she kinda liked running.
She kept going over the years until running fast and literally chasing trains became a huge part of her identity. Lucie just kept putting her head down and logging steady mileage until one day it didn't seem all that crazy to go after big running dreams. While her career as a successful, famous fashion model took her all around the globe, nothing felt like she was getting anywhere quite like where she could go with her own two feet.
After appearing almost in any fashion magazine and working for many brands, Lucie decided to seek new challenges—ultimately redefining her understanding of beauty, performance and success. Her latest challenge? Training to run an Olympic Trials qualifying time in her first-ever marathon.
