100-Year Blade
When a sword turns 100 years old, it manifests it's own soul. Also known as a Tsukumogami.
Demon Swords
The 7 Demon Swords were created at the Dawn Of Time when the embodiment of chaos, panDEMONium, was cut into 7 pieces and sealed away. They each contain an immeasurable amount of consumed souls, from this Universe and previous Universes, and they create pacts to feed off the souls of others. Each of the 7 Demon Swords represents some aspect of panDEMONium, but are they all bad guys?
Enchanted Swords
Swords that have had an artificially created soul inserted into them by a Swizard. An artificial soul is usually made by recycling leftover pieces of other souls - it's just easier than making one from scratch. Swizards tend to make these swords for some purpose and bestow powers to them, in the hopes they'll last hundreds of years. Their personality is usually reflected in their vocation too, like the Sword of Truth or the Sword of Dare.
Haunted Swords
When people die they usually go to the Godrealm right away, but some become Ghosts and sometimes a Ghost can possess a sword.
Merblades
Half-humanoid, half-sword. Other species can end up this way too, such as Sworcs, Knife-ears and Shortsworfs. Don't ask how it happened, it just did.
Organic Sword
A sword made from living tissue. It probably has some sort of naturally occurring soul.
Runes
Swords can have runes on them, which are a pact with one of the Demon Swords. These are primarily Curses from Relentless Omens or Magic from Sacred Oaths. Mortals have no knowledge of the Demon Swords and so Kargob takes the credit once again.
Soulsword
A sword that a Necromancer has transferred a humanoid soul into. This is how zombies are made and why they're always wandering about looking for "BLAAAADES~!"
Steelborn
Two merblades can have a normal child, a merblade child or a fully-sword child called a Steelborn. Inside that metal exoskeleton is some cursed arrangement of organs we don't like to think about too hard. And yes, they poop.
Sword Animals
They're alive because of the animal part, one would assume. Some occur naturally and others are the result of twisted magic. There's a big world of creatures out there. The line between what is an animal and what is a monster is razor-thin.
Sword Arts
A swordsman can imbue a sword with his own soul to activate special techniques.
- Funky Katana - Using a leaf as a conduit, a Samurai can place some of their soul in their sword, transforming it to reflect their inner vibes
- Golden Sword Arts - 79 techniques that can only be channelled through a Golden Sword
- Sword Princess Power - The Sword Princess uses this to merge with her Sword into something resembling a Steelborn

So... does having all 7 swords of panDEMONium summon an Exodia adjacent sword? Or is it more like collecting all of the dragon balls?

Just for completing the page, Godswords are Soulswords right? Or is that what Bograk's panel is saying? But if so, how do the Gods and the Godswords to maintain separate identities?
The Souls that appear in the Godswords are Tsukumogami, but the swords themselves draw essence directly from their God, which is why destroying the sword hurts the God. Argok wasn't killed because he split into 7 parts already.

wait, so bograk just manifested itself after 100 years. but as far as I can tell, bograk is not a sword soul, but the soul of the light that came after the darkness, similar to how kargob seems to be the soul of the darkness that was before time. so either "void" or "space" or whatever the darkness and the light can be described as can manifest its own soul, and so can swords. is there anything else that can do that? ...also we still have no idea where greg came from 😭 (which may or may not be a part of the joke to be fair)
