Hi SuzQz, first of all, very sorry for your loss. I know the pain of losing someone close. 💔 Regarding the photo import, make sure that the layer is on top of the photo. I made that mistake without even noticing. I hope this helps!

Hi James! I subscribed quite a while ago, but my dad got sick and we lost him back in August. I’m still at my mom’s house taking care of her and the house. So, to state the obvious, I’ve been REALLY busy. Anyhow…I’m so happy to be here! i have a quick (?) question: Eventually, I’d like to import a photo of Mt. Hood in Oregon which my daughter can see from her Portland home. I don’t want “copy” it, I just want it there as reference. I’ve imported a photo, but every time I add a layer, nothing happens. It doesn’t add any brush strokes at all. I don’t imagine I’ll be doing this any time soon, so no worries about getting back to me about it. Like I said earlier, I’m SO happy to be here and follow along! ❤️
