Reacting to "Game Theory" by The Roots
I recorded this last Sunday in preparation for today (I'm gonna be busy all weekend), hence the early posting. Finally getting back to more Roots. It's been awhile. Glad to sit down with this one, banger of an album.
Enjoy!

This came out the same year as CunninLynguists - A Piece of Strange, and they were widely regarded as the two best albums that year. Just mentioning it you know.. in case you want to check out something from the same era.
Clock with No Hands is definitely one of my faves as well, as much for when it hit my life. I was in my mid-late 20s and really just lost touch with college friends and was a short time away from meeting my future wife. There are those songs which are dark, but because they are actually speaking some truth to your situation, feel satisfying if you know what I mean.
Great reaction! If you can, please listen to "We got it from here, thank you 4 your service" by a tribe called quest
Views by Drake please Bob!!!
I can’t lie Bob, you might only be able to do Tetsuo & Youth on a day that you feel perfect 😭 I’m talkin 10 hours of sleep, a morning coffee if that’s your thing, no stress, family healthy, kitties kittying Wait for perfect conditions, it’ll be worth it
Bob reacts to roots and Lebron to the 76ers. What a day for Philly
Awesome album, great reaction! Probably my favorite Roots record, but I actually think you might like Rising Down even more, because it is so dark and distorted. Phrenology is often overlooked in their catalogue, but that is a great one to react to as well, because they really flex how many different musical styles they can perform at a high level.
Day 6 of asking for Testing by A$AP Rocky. Game theory a great album though let’s go!!
Undun gotta be next!!
You’re living in a new world now, Bob! This came out when I was 19 and, honestly, changed the trajectory of my life. So happy you caught the Radiohead sample on your own! PS-Bread & Butter was an iTunes exclusive bonus track that always gets tacked onto the streaming release. I love it but the album should absolutely close with Dilla’s tribute.
Wow great choice, I don't think I've ever seen someone react to this album. Clock with no hands is one of my favorite Roots songs
The album name was taken from the mathematical and sociological concept of strategic decision-making, using it as a metaphor for the bleak political climate, systemic struggles, and survivalist realities of 21st-century American life. Yeah, i took this from Ai Google. Haha. Thanks for the shoutout!
I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THESE 😭🔥🙏
