WQ: When I was in my 20s, I was always told I looked like a local newscaster (newsreader, if you will). I only share bc I am adopted & it made me start to wonder if this woman was my biological mother. 🧐 She wasn't.
That is so interesting. How did you find out that she wasn't? Did you approach her?
I've seen others recommend it, but "How to Get to Heaven from Belfast" is sooooo good!!!

No-spoiler short preface to Aftersun, since I think it's the kind of movie where it's good to know a little bit going into it: Aftersun is a semi-biographical directorial debut by Charlotte Wells. It is a film about the connection between parent and child and an introspective reflection on childhood memory. It's a fairly slow-burn film, although it is not very long, a lot of the storytelling is done through imagery and music. Also one of the best child performances ever?
In the late 70s when I was adorable, someone said I looked like Natalie Wood. He was hitting on me at the time, but it was flattering.
When I was a bit chubbier my best friend would tell me I looked like a white Hannibal Buress, lmao. Same dude also said I looked like several Asian dudes so I'm not sure how much stock to put in his words.
I have gotten every single Asian actress that has ever existed, even when they look nothing like me 😑
