🌟Weekly Promo🌟
1. BlackBoxReruns - Alva has been a part of this community for the last two years and decided to create their own reaction channel, and I fucking love that they did it. Go check out their channel, show them some love. Got some really great movie and TV show reactions on there already https://youtube.com/@blackboxreruns?si=Fa4EGLt7zyVwFThM
2. Julia Timlin - I’m an author, and I published a book last year! It’s my debut novel, and it’s available almost anywhere online—Amazon, Barnes and Nobel, etc. but it’s also on my publisher's website, where folks can buy the book directly from me! The book is titled “A Girl Called Galaxy”. It is a New Adult fiction novel following a woman named Danica who lives with a terminal illness. In her struggle with depression, she meets Galaxy, and the unlikely friendship awakens joy and a new thirst for life again. The book touches on topics such as depression and suicidal ideation that often grip young people with terminal illness, the desperate desire to find a meaning to life on borrowed time, the struggles of 1st-generation Chinese immigrants, a lack of faith when confronted with mortality, and the deep connections that change our lives. While not fundamentally a queer novel, the relationship between Danica and Galaxy is love that can be interpreted in many ways—platonic or romantic. I’ve been wanting to market this book more than I have, but with my full-time job it’s been really tough.
The book can be bought here: https://www.amazon.com/Girl-Called-Galaxy-Julia-Timlin/dp/B0CWTM9H65

frank i hope you will watch widow’s bay eventually!!!
I'm looking for new reactors for my favorite show, "Once upon a Time". Same writers as "Lost"! If you ever do that show, I'll join! It's definitely a commitment, 7 seasons of 23 episodes per, but I'm in it for the long haul! Lol
We moved after Grade 11 from a rural redneck town and I went into Grade 12 here in Ottawa where I had access to classes I never imagined a high school could have. My favourite class was my computer class. Up to this point, computer classes focused solely on typing and office software skills. In Ottawa, they were teaching students how to use Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc. But I already taught myself how to use those programs, and I was really struggling in Grade 12. I used to skip often but my computer teacher used to keep me in school by working with my art class to combine the work I was doing in computer class with my art. I think she knew something was going on at home why she tried everything to keep me in class. She would even let hang out in her private little office all afternoon just to keep in school. Will never forget your kindness Ms. Rosenbloom!
My favorite subject was Yearbook, we got a badge and got to go class to class and to games and after-school stuff to do interviews and pictures then we edited it and made that years yearbook. Plus my teacher was awesome I loved her Honorable mention sociology and English but only when we were reading Plato and Shakespear
Omg, that's me up there! Thank you for the promo😊
Favorite subject(s): High School - Photography I miss photography so much. I miss having my own darkroom and the manual processes as a whole. I probably can still develop film out of muscle memory. College - Intro to VFX/Motion Graphics (can't remember exactly) Intro to VFX was pretty cool and very chill. We pretty much studied film and how it's made. Put together our own movie trailers and shit.
In secondary school was favourite subject was biology and in college it was English
WQ: Biology and English, at Uni either Molecular Biology or Genetics, now as an English/Biology teacher, kinda always seemed obvious and planned^^
I don't know if they qualify as courses, but in High School it was Band,Music and Chorus. I played flute in concert band and trombone in marching band. Thoroughly enjoyed being in plays, musicals and singing in the chorus in high school. In College my favorite courses was Histology and Clinical Pathology....I started out with a Pre-Medicine major.
Omgg so hyped for Two Towers!
WQ: from kindergarten and to this day reading and music, playing instruments and learning to compose music. From fourth grade through high school: science, history, geography, math and 4-H. College: biology, sociology, international studies, herbalism culminating in a BA in nursing.
Coraline!!???? Oh yea let's go!
my favorite class in high school was Spanish. not only did I enjoy learning the language, I also had the same teacher all four years, Sra. Maradiaga, and she was wonderful. between my junior and senior year we took a class trip to Spain. in college it was my photography class. I went to college long ago enough that we learned how to develop our own film.
I loved Spain. The gothic quarter has some amazing spiced chocolate and candied violets. The architecture is gorgeous.
Wee! WQ: Language classes, especially Latin. I feel like if you have a solid understanding of Latin then you can understand and learn other Latin based languages easier. I still sign up for courses at LSU during their summer programs. My company pays for it since we're international, I talk to a lot of clients and I love to learn so I take advantage. This year I'm doing Cajun/Creole immersion language courses because they're finally offering them. I'm waiting for West African language classes to be available. I did some work in Ghana and Nigeria this year. The local communities were so nice and welcoming. I was gifted some gorgeous waistbeads that I absolutely cherish and ruined my stomach with Jollof and Efo Riro 🤣 I'm allergic to tomatoes but it was so good!!
Oh my God you have no idea how mentioning trying those foods made me happy
Favorite subject: Marine science. I absolutely loved it.
I wanted to be a marine biologist at one point. I wish I could have taken more marine courses. Swimming with sharks is still on my bucket list. I just have to talk my bf into it.
Get ready to read my novel in the comments of Two Towers this week 😆
I'm confused. You're not off this week? I mean, I'm thrilled to have shows, but just clarifying.
I read it as he meant he was taking the rest of last week off.
Thanks for the feature 😭🧡 Very kind! I’m so excited for this week!!
WQ: English (reading, writing, grammar -- all of it!) was always #1. 📚 I minored in theater & loved that, too. 🎭 I also enjoyed music and dancing -- played the clarinet for 7 years, piano for 5, took dancing lessons, and was on the dance team that performed with our marching band in HS. 💃
Eyy! I play the clarinet. I'm coming up on something like 20 years of playing. Never did anything with it. Just a hobby now. I did marching band and then color guard because DCI and I wasn't going to get to with a clarinet 😆
Oh i thought you were taking the week off!! My favorite subject was art and music, and in 6th grade I was in a science focus class so that was amazing. The teacher smuggled things she wasn't allowed to like small animals in formaldehyde, brains and a fetus!!! WILD year!
off the rest of last week✌🏾
Have u watched money heist?
Oh Money Heist was EVERYTHING!!!
WQ : art, english and design & technology!! Hated my art teacher and she hated me though 😭 my dt teacher was soooo cool tho i think i was his fav 🙂↕️
