Longer shows on polls - Possible solution?
So my man FOXTACO brought up the brilliant idea of guaranteeing 3 seasons for longer shows, and I think that's a great idea because there've been shows I haven't touched because of their large episode counts! (e.g., Lost, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Sopranos, etc.) Some of the longer shows I have done on the channel have taken over 5 months!
So the gist is we watched 3, reevaluate, put it on the poll again, and go from there. Now, some Folks might dislike the idea of watching a show halfway, which is valid. But I'd argue it's better than not watching the show at all. I feel like it's a win-win. However, don't let that deter you from sharing your thoughts in the comments below!

Not sure we like the idea of getting invested in a show, knowing the reactions could stop after 3 seasons. (Six Feet Under is the perfect example, if we thought you weren't going to see it through to the finale, we'd be absolutely gutted) Kind of understand your reasoning but it would definitely influence our decision as to whether we dive into a new show with you or not.

A short one season q0 episode show you could react to would be Lovecraft Country. It's good and it's only one season
IMO, you should always feel free to stop watching a series you really don’t enjoy. If you’re not having fun, your viewers won’t have fun also sopranos sopranos sopranos.

I'd love to see you react to Outlander. It's a very underreacted show despite being superb quality. (Although I only watched 4 seasons myself (it has 7 to my knowledge) so I can't vouch for everything.) And honestly I felt my own interest diminish during season 4 for various reasons, so I think you'd be good watching just the first 3 seasons. That's plenty of story.

Scrubs. The show runner is Bill Lawrence who also did Ted Lasso, so it has the same formula of a comedy with heartfelt moments and gut punches. Also it's just been revived so it's a perfect time to watch.
Thank you for doing this. I remember counting how long it will take for you to finish some of the longer shows currently on the schedule, and I was honestly shocked. NOT that they are bad shows -- that's not the point. This gives you more exposure, gives us more shows, and prevents possible reactor burnout.

Came here to say fringe. The acting is brilliant. The writing is a wonderful mix between dark humor, science fiction, and crime/mystery. Truly one of my favorite shows of all time. I have watch it dozens of times.
What do you consider a longer show? There are some shows with more seasons but maybe 8-12 episodes per season and some with maybe 3 or 4 seasons that are 24 episodes a season. And then there's Dr Who and SVU and a bunch of others with insanely intimidating amounts of episodes. Criminal Minds is probably the longest running show I've gotten through with 22-24 ish episodes until Evolution which has shorter seasons. Figuring out what to recommend for this specific request.

i like this idea bc i don't understand why channels commit to long ass sitcoms like sunny etc.
Also, watching a creator slog through a show they don’t really like and have nothing to say about isn’t fun either. Committing to like 6-8 seasons or something is huge when you think about the labor that goes into creating the content, seems a waste if the end result is us watching him not enjoy it. I hope Frank always takes the liberty to stop watching something if he doesn’t like it for whatever reason, if he is bored with it or finds it gratuitous or cliche or too navel-gazey or whatever
Would love It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia ! The show is quite long and the three seasons format would definitely work well for it imo ! No matter the show it’s a good idea, shows with 10+ seasons are quite the commitment and it would give you time to get the gist of the show while also not being stuck with it if you don’t feel like it :)
