KZXcellent Update -- April 2026

Hey all.

So yesterday I banged out updated thumbnail styles for my VODs and along with other format changes and the everything else I've been working on across three YouTube Channels I decided a proper update video is in order. For the Patrons here I'll group up the bulk of these updates for those who'd prefer a quick summary as opposed to rambly video.

KZXcellentVODs

I've changed the style of thumbnails to be a bit more freeform. It still has the uniform style of my logo in a corner, the use of a diagonal border but I'm a bit more loose with it. Focusing on a style that makes videos pop more. I've applied it to the last 3 weeks of VODs and every Mega Man Marathon VOD.

Additionally, I am also putting a bit more editing to the VODs themselves. As you may have seen with Mega Man X Command Mission and Pragmata I'll be stitching VODs together to make full playthroughs fit into one video where it makes sense. Especially makes sense for special series or games that I know won't do well with 3-4 separate videos. It looks cleaner to me and honestly the people who fall off of longform content weren't too keen on the 5 hour VODs anyway.

KZXcellent LPs

So we're over a month into my return to the LP Channel through my LP of SMTV Vengeance. It's gone decently. The views, let's not mince words here, have fallen off a cliff. Unfortunate and seeing the downward trend did sting but not enough to make me work any less hard on the videos, thumbnails, and prep per episode.

As said in the video I understand I need to establish and get back into a video making flow so I never planned on pinning everything on one singular project. I will likely do 1-2 newer J/JRPG releases and that will give me a better idea. If something like a potential Danganronpa 2x2 LP bombs then that could be a better barometer than an LP of a game you've maybe seen me stream before (twice)!

KZ's Lounge

Now that I'm back to LPs, I've rebranded the Supercut/Podcast/Reaction channel to KZ's Lounge. Mainly because I realized the @KZXcellent on YouTube is tied to the LP channel so that's neat.

Anyway 2 months without a video over there is no good so I'm putting out an episode of Movie! on there later today. Additionally I got other stuff I want to do there so I'll try to balance it better now that the LP workflow is more figured out now. Expect a new Supercut in May, and likely another Movie! episode unless Jordan delays them again.

Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks for reading/watching.
