KZXcellent Let's Plays Return? Maybe!

Hey everyone. If you're seeing this you're a patron. Since I have the data most of you have been in here for awhile, whether you're an avid supporter or you're chill with letting it recur for people you like.

I, KZXcellent, did Let's Plays for over a decade from 2009 to around 2022 I did played games for your entertainment. Mainly JRPGs as I found them to be underserved for video LPs compared to Nintendo Games and less story-focused games. I loved it, I cultivated a fairly small and niche but loyal viewer base.

Over the years I'm sure you saw the shift. I helped form and cultivate a Podcast Network via GigaBoots back in the lead up to Kingdom Hearts 3's release in late 2018 to the creation of various other shows there in 2019 from Big Think Dimension, Cursed Content Club, ect ect!

Around 2021 due to both not living with my parents and the general income I made off LPs compared to streaming/podcasting I made the tough call to step away from my original type of content. To focus on streaming full time and podcasts. Since then I've stopped working with GBPodcasts for a long time at this point and full-time streaming. For over a year I've desired returning to this channel and this type of content. But because of how aggressive YouTube's algorithm is and the idea of returning to a channel that's been abandoned feels like a fool's errand this stopped me.

Tonight fueled by rum and an edible I decided to nut up and say how I feel. And see if people are down for us rocking it like its 2018 and returning to LPs. I would appreciate all interested in this letting me know in the comments of the YouTube video linked in this post.

What does this change for YOU, the patron? Well if I return to this style all active patrons will be featured in a credits sequence in every video made. Additionally, this is additive to my streams. I will not be cutting down on what I plan on doing.

I dunno, I'm getting older. I started this channel in 2009. I made this patreon as the way to fund this channel in the mid 2010s. I feel nostalgia of when things were simpler (in my mind) and where I bounced between LPs and Streams and I made these fun videos. Will it hit the same? I dunno. But now that I'm sauced enough I'm willing to try it. It was tough to finally just push this video out.

You'd think it'd be easy, the video is low effort - its me talking with a stream layout I've always used. But like many others I have a fear of failure. I am someone who suffers from a lot of anxiety and also felt like I wasn't worthy of even trying again. But sure, let's try and see if people care. My assurance is if I DO come back I will not leave again until I've finished whatever I start. I despise when YouTubers come back and leave immediately, so I WILL commit bare minimum to some projects and finish them before bouncing. I owe you all that much if you've shown enough interest.

Anyway I'm an absolute mess tonight, sauced enough to be brave enough to get a bit more personal (in my view) to post this. Let's see how it goes.
