Hi there. I've been watching your videos on YouTube for a while now, and decided to follow you here as well. From what I observed on the channel, I can confidently say that you love space-based interferometers. I don't remember if anyone ever asked this, but what are the prospects/plans, if any, for Jupiter-based interferometry? Jupiter/Sun L4/L5 points are about 5 times further apart than Earth/Sun counterparts and orbital mechanics would be significantly calmer for station keeping (slower orbit, stronger anchor). Is that at all feasible or is Earth again in the goldilocks zone for that too due to other factors (data transfer rate with Earth, power demands for lasers, difficulties targetting said lasers between the craft at those distances etc.)? And if Jupiter is just about potentially manageable, what about other giants, where do you draw the line?
Thank you Fraser, I like youre shows already for a long time, and it would be amazing to talk to you!! Greetings from Amsterdam the Netherlands! Drumbuzzyrich!
Mars seems ever-more not worth visiting. Or is it that the more challenging we know it to be; the more someone will want to overcome those challenges by going there.
Yo, since watching the clips on patreon I don't feel as dirty as I did on Google aka Alphabet's platform anymore. 😆 🤣 😂 😹 Greetings from Istanbul aka "Constantinople" 🇹🇷 the "Old World" to the "New World" PS: No cap...I really feel better.
I have a hard time believing that youtube is unsubscribing people for purposes other than removing old accounts or bots. I think in these cases, people think they are subscribed because they saw videos in their Home feed for so long and then suddenly they didn't. There are many channels I watch every video of that I'm not subscribed to, and many channels that I am subscribed to and never see their videos. The algorithm is ruthless and will launch you onto another topic and recommend other channels overnight. You need to use the subscription tab if you truly want to see all your subscription videos
I am kind of unusual in that I rarely watch videos on my phone. I am actually doing that right now because I'm on a trip with my family, but normally I watch YouTube on a PC I keep connected to my TV. I subscribe to channels I find interesting, but I keep the video s page of the channels I really care about bookmarked. To the best of my knowledge I have never been unsubscribed from a channel, but I have had YouTube stop showing me videos from certain channels. That usually happens when I fail to watch 2 or 3 new videos in a row. With Frasier, I almost always watch the question show and spacebites, but the interviews not so much. But I always have my bookmark.
First time Patreon view. Thanks, Fraser 😊
Sharks with lasers on Mars? Yes please.
