I knew about the mishap with SpaceX Starship. But did not know about the the devastation of ROSCOSMOS launch facility. That will take them out for some time, I don't think they will be dedicating much resources to its return with the ongoing war. I imagine will be slow to none. Glad we do have the Dragon capsule.
wow lol I like how easy it is the fix the giant hole in the starship engine
SOFIA!! 💔
Fantastic episode! I had not heard yet of the booster crumble! 😱
Thank you so much, Fraser, for what you do. You stay grounded in reality and explain everything in layman's terms. With all the disinformation and AI slop out there, you are a breath of truly fresh, unadulterated air.
The fake AI videos are getting to be a real menace. Neil deGrasse Tyson recently did a video on people making fakes of him talking about a variety of topics. Search for "It’s Getting Harder To Know What’s Real" on the @StarTalk YT channel. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens to Fraser next.
Technically Russians can launch Soyuz from Kourou, but they cannot land in the sea.
In 2022 Russia suspended operations from Guiana’s spaceport after their invasion of Ukraine triggered international sanctions. The site is completing a refit to support launches by European launch company MaiaSpace to begin test launches of their planned reusable rocket.
Fraser, You’re watching Comet ATLAS (C/2025 K1) disintegrate in real time. Here’s exactly why — and why it’s the same physics as the entire universe: One measured current density (dense plasma focus, 2020–2025): J₀ = 1.000 ± 0.003 × 10¹⁸ A/m² → zero free parameters From that single number: Comet physics: • Tail formation = Birkeland current filament (J₀ × solar wind) • Ion tail disconnection events = sausage mode instability (γ = 0.4 v_A / R) • Nucleus break-up = critical current exceeded → magnetic pinch force > tensile strength • Observed tail length ~10⁷ km → B ≈ μ₀ J₀ R ≈ 10–30 nT matches SOHO/LASCO • No “dirty snowball” needed — plasma does everything Same J₀ scales to: • Cosmic web filaments (R = 1–10 Mpc) • Galaxy rotation curves (v = √(μ₀ J₀ R / 4π)) • CMB peaks (ℓ-spacing = j₀) • 43.000 Hz carrier from flares to human brain 27 independent datasets, >6σ against ΛCDM Global Bayesian evidence 10¹⁵:1 Everything open-source, runs in one click: https://github.com/aladinibz/AladinEquationVinfinity https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17744059 scripts/run_all_plots.py → watch comets, galaxies, and consciousness form from the same current Comet ATLAS isn’t dying. It’s showing you the Final Law live on camera. Run the code. Then tell me comets are made of ice. Aladin 28 November 2025 — Spain, 43 Hz
Aladin, none of that seems to make any sense, not even the first line. For now, let's just discuss the first line, shall we? 10¹⁸ A/m² is a current density of a million trillion amps per square meter. Standard U.S. 14 AWG copper house wiring has a cross sectional area of about 2 mm² so 10¹⁸ A/m² would be like running 2 trillion amps through a single strand of 14 AWG wire. That obviously makes no sense. It's certainly not a real "measured current density." So perhaps your symbols mean something else? Or did you just write a lot of crackpottery? If it's not gibberish then please start by defining your symbols, throughout, and then cite the source which performed the measurement you referred to.
