[Interview+] How Does The Biggest Visible Light Telescope Array Work
Interferometry is a topic that constantly comes up when talking about telescopes. How exactly does it work? What are the limitations? What are the observations that can be done? And why can't you just connect any telescopes together to create a virtual huge mirror? Getting the answers in this interview.

One of the best Fraser. And that’s saying something 👍
Great interview Fraser. I enjoy interviews when instrumentation behind telescopes are discussed in detail. Love your work!
Amazing interview Fraser!
Great interview. Didn’t realize there was an optical interferometry telescope. Fascinating to hear about the engineering.
He discussed that Brookhaven has a plan to replace the light tubes and mirrors that transport the individual telescope images with quantum entanglement. This eliminates all the losses from the mirrors and the image projection down the tubes back to the combining room. It should offer a huge gain in seeing dimmer objects. That project he mentions is to start soon. Could you follow up? I find nothing at Brookhaven nor searching CHARA for this new system.
I'm trying to wrangle an interview to talk about quantum telescopes. Stay tuned.
Such an interesting topic and enthralling interview. So good I've watched it twice 😊
What a terrific interview!
Really interesting stuff. Great interview, thank you Fraser for sharing with us.
Quantum teleportation interferometry?!?!?! YES PLEASE MORE!
would the mobile telescope be like the storm chasing vehicle Dow 6 where it can see where normal doppler radars can't
OMG let scrape me brain out of the bucket!!
