zurg 1.0 PUBLIC release
The first line of zurg was written on October 16 2023, almost 3 years ago. I wanted a faster webdav option from RD's native one and I didn't want to install and maintain a custom rclone. The initial release cycle was scrappy. Users from the Ragnarok discord server tested it with me. There was no AI at that time, it was just mental resignation from my day job due to burnout caused by middle management. This was core memory not just for me but for my family as I am up until 5am sometimes just hacking on it.
Today, my development workflow has turned 180deg, but the fulfilment I get from working on DMM+zurg didn't. I've been using zurg 1.0 for Real-Debrid for 3 months now, rewatching One Piece with my kids and it has been stable as a rock that I'm now proud to release it for free to the now bot-infested internet.
This zurg, apart from the original webdav feature, has built-in rclone and Plex management. Also STRM file functionality, renames, etc. We're talking about years of feature development here.

And... zurg 2.0 is coming
As people in my Discord server already know, a new version of zurg is in the works. The one that is not just for Real-Debrid, but can also work with AllDebrid, Torbox and Usenet (for now, but more providers coming soon). I've been using Fable/Opus 5 on it and everything's coming together faster than I anticipated. I'm open to feedback via Reddit or Discord, just tag me.
The nightly builds/private repo access is still provided via my Patreon and Github sponsors.

Congrats! It's pretty incredible what ai coding assistance can do with already good software
I'm excited to see you've been spending time with family more than anything. But also what else comes down the pipeline from you as you have yet to to disappoint. I can proudly say that I've been continuing the Patreon contributions monthly and it still doesn't say thank you enough. I hope one day I could get with you in a chat via discord or something and maybe learn from you. I'm still diving into this stuff and it seems that when I learn something, 2 other new things replace it. Or I break the original and start over. More the latter than anything honestly. 🤣
