Episode 24: Transsexual C-Span
Hi folks! Jordan here giving you your weekly dose of Gay Girl John Oliver, so the notes are gonna be a bit light this week! I had a slightly updated audio setup this week, so I am hoping any audio issues are in the past now! Thanks for being patient with us!
This week we talk about: The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, and it's many wonders and pleasures. Long story short, you all should go to Pittsburgh, it's great.
https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/us-senate-panel-approves-bill-crack-down-chinese-vehicles-2026-07-22/ We also talk about the US senate trying to explode the auto industry (again) and we delve into the identity politics of your average used car salesman.
And then we finish stuff off with a dose of racing news, that is also somehow still America's fault! Thanks to The War™ the WEC is altering its schedule for the second time this year! https://www.dailysportscar.com/2026/07/13/wec-season-set-to-finish-in-europe-as-middle-east-conflict-continues.html
As always, our opening theme is off Stella Spazzatura's Horse Tranquilizer Simulator. Special thank you to our editor Alex; you can check out her site here and you can get WHITE LINE NIGHTMARE, her toxic yuri visual novel, on Itch.io!

I would absolutely come to a Seattle live show
I'd absolutely come to a Pittsburgh live show!
Would absolutely go to a Seattle live show! I've listened to a ton of podcasts in and around the fringes of the Novemberverse and this would be the first one to do a live show anywhere near me
also yeah liveshow !!!! :)
"The Connected Vehicles Security Act addresses major issues with connected vehicles security" is such a fucking chronic lead poisoning phrase
I think there's a little audio skip at 1:22:34
Nah, I just sounded like that - Jordan
I could do a Pittsburgh show during nice weather. I can afford the gas on the motorcycle but not in the ranger and the jeep doesn't even bear thinking
1. Good job quiting smoking. It sucks but you can do it. 2. I would buy a ticket for a seattle show
I would come to a Seattle live show with a couple of friends!
Seattle live show would be amazing omg
I'd 100% join a Seattle event. Sign me up.
Yinzers should have a chip on their shoulder because the city fucking rules. I have family in both Pittsburgh and Seattle so could swing a live show in either as part of a larger trip.
I would definitely show up at a Seattle live show.
I'd go to a PGH live show
I’d definitely attend a live show at PVGP.
As a Pittsburgh resident, I liked when Jordan talked about Pittsburgh
would be so excited for a Pittsburgh live show and be extremely likely to attend, I'd probably drive a couple other NEOH folks to the show too if there was one in Pittsburgh
um, heck yes to a meetup (travel from CT permitting)
Would definitely attend a live show in Pittsburgh!
I would 100% go to a live show in Pittsburgh
Canadian here and Seattle live show would be a dream but it's off the table for me until IT HAPPENS
I will do everything in my power to make it to a Pittsburgh show
i never expected General Hospital to win so hard but apparently it has!
After listening to this episode I am definitely driving out from Illinois for the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix next year. A live show would be a nice little bonus.
100% there for a Seattle live show
I'd show up to a Seattle live show. The photo walk was super fun!
Vicotria enjoy your week off.
I would absoLUTELY come to a live show in 'da 'Burgh. I couldn't make Seattle, though. Bonus if the PGH live show was in summer or early fall, 'cause then I could ride the Ural out.
Yeah I'll commit to going to a Seattle live thing! I only couldn't make the photo walk bc I was double booked at White Center Pride!
seattle live show would be awesome!
When Jordan was talking about the chip on the shoulder Pittsburgh has I understood immediately because Baltimore has the same chip on our shoulders
So does Detroit.
Also yes I of course would come to a live show in Seattle! My wife produces burlesque shows in town so hit me up if you need venue recs
I would love to attend a live show as long as it's reasonably easy to reach from an Amtrak station.
Tacking on more comments as I listen. That senate favoritism bill sounds like it will be a great thing for the ebike market! Your options for person vehicle ownership in 2028: $90,000 pickup truck, $200,000+ sports car, or $3000 ebike with 7 flock cameras bolted to it that comes with a 200 year prison sentence for removing any of them.
lol at Vicki reading my name as "Chrysler Storm" at the end
I would absolutely drive out to a Pittsburgh event. I also propose breakaway enclave Cincinnati as we have quite a lot of lovely things
Dear lathe - I really want the girls to have a really sweet company car. Please make this happen. Sincerely, me.
