Question for You
Happy Sunday!
As you all know, The Sims 4 is boring af. Yes. I said it. And you know it is. One of the most boring parts of the game in my opinion is the lack of things to do when you take your sims on a “vacation” or a “honeymoon”. Mnt. Komo is the only world where you can go out and DO things like skiing, hot springs etc. but if you take your sims to the beach, what do you do? I asked my chat and the general consensus is this -
Woohoo.
Pictures.
Leave.
Exciting. So here’s my question for YOU. What do YOU do on your sims vacations or honeymoons to make them fun or memorable? (Aside from pictures and woohoo). And what would you wish you could do instead? Remember how good TS2 and 3 were? TS4 is such a flop. Probably because it was meant to be a mobile game but, I digress.

I loved the hotels of sims 3 from island living also the gameplay from island paradise. Additionally I enjoyed the world adventures pack exploring the different worlds were always entertaining to me.
I remember I love the vacation expansion from TS1, where we could build and manage hotels!
I don’t do them because it always seems to súck 😅 I was hoping for more hobbies with business and hobbies pack but that was a complete fail compared to sims 3.

Scuba diving, paddleboat, a luau, limbo!
I just did a beach day with the "fam" - the child age sims went swimming and made a lot of sandcastles. I had a teen group who went digging for treasures. My adults manned the barbeque, took turns taking care of the infants & toddlers, but also danced to the music - watching them cowpoke is the highlight of my sim life. At the end of the day - everyone's needs were red or orange, except fun. Thats a great beach day!
Honestly, I never do events in ts4 bc it's just repeating the same stuff over and over. I wish they disappeared for a day or something for a honeymoon instead. Even better, let us do activities while playing our Sims on their honeymoon. But I think that'll never happen =/ this is why I have 60+ GB of mods and refuse to go back 🤔
Exactly. I have over 300 🙃 (and yes my game still works great - hardly any script mods is the key)
That would be so good. I was also hoping for this with Horse Ranch but of course was disappointed
I want movie dates not a rabbit hole and actually movie, eat popcorn, sims laugh cry jump scare to a movie. And everyone throws away their trash properly at the end.
That would be great! If ONLY The Sims would do things properly
Scuba diving! I have always been so bummed out by the fact that we can’t go under water and see anything with our sims. I think that would be the best possible thing, but I’m assuming it would be super freaking hard. lol

I think multi-purpose lots are good near vacation spots. Bowling, dining, games, movies, karaoke.
I enjoy picnics and sometimes host a guys' or girls' day together, where a group of friends rents a vacation home and parties all day and all night. But you right, there's not much to do

You can swim in the ocean as long as your kidd have floating devices on them unless it's a mod I use

Or a go dancing event ! Go touring/shopping.
Dancing and shopping sound so cute. Wouldn’t that be fun if that was available to do? Like REAL shopping not just walking by in Tartosa
Ooooo a private chef date event would be nice. Hire a chef to do a three course meal like an appetizer main dish dessert maybe a drink
