Rogue Princess 0.23 FREE UPDATE

I skipped 0.22 on here since it was small, but here are some patch notes! The game needed a lot of smoothing out before I can get started on paid updates and the like

CHANGES

•  Redesigned the Athena down throw mechanic to be a double jump instead of an input combo (down + attack) 

• Tutorial area has little drawings in the background to help players out now (if you had a lot of trouble with the game, i recommend checking it out for a refresher!)

• Some tutorial signs rewritten to be clearer

• Added another chest in the tutorial area

• Athena no longer bounces off to the side when thrown down at enemies, allowing players to pogo off of enemies 

• There are now return doors in Fracture Rooms, so you don't have to commit once you're inside

• Made daggers infinite but deal lower damage

• Fracture room door sprite to differentiate better

• More aggressive options menu tutorial, will play out once even on old saves

• Game reset changed from R to F1

• Tweaked some tough rooms to make the jumps easier

• Reduced Athena's desire rate drastically (about 2.5x)

• Grab range indicator now appears when GRAB or UP (if up grab is enabled) are held

• Vine foliage removed since they caused confusion

• Fixed Athena's love going over the cap

• Fixed tutorial soft locks

• Grab Throw is now disabled by default

• Camera is slightly faster

• Adjusted options to be clearer on whether they're enabled or disabled

Future game content will be harder, but it was necessary to make the early challenges easier to understand

Some of this stuff is WIP and may be reworked in the future

Rogue Princess is finally indexed on itch.io! I'll be uploading Lotty's Adventure on there once it's at a good state since its current public build is pretty rough.

Speaking of Lotty's Adventure, that will be getting a small update soon as well, so look forward to that!
