Hi, we’re Mike and JF, and we keep thinking about how our show lives at this weird intersection of totally absurd ideas and the rare ones that actually land. Today’s episode is probably the latter, but the path there has some real moments that feel like they belong on our show. I was laughing at an episode from earlier this month where we covered ice cube inventions and that guitar-playing gadget, and it made me think about how our whole thing is basically taking the "weird, dumb project" label and wearing it all the way to a functional product people actually use. Here’s an example of an email I’d send if I were some little oofy doofy ding dong who signed up for AI.Chimp influencer autoblasting service for $9999999/mo. Isn’t it GOOD? Don’t you wanna read MORE of them? Well I’d give you access to our inbox but then you’d know I still haven’t unsubscribed to those emails from David Shing yet and that’s really embarrassing.

I LOVED Two Fat Ladies
JF was so flustered by the “racism notwithstanding” line that he completely missed the other thing he said right after, which was “i doubt andrew will learn anything from this.” SO WHY DO IT? why bother? why are we watching him? it’s so libcoded to watch a show that can really only scold people for being the product of a system that engenders racism without actually doing any sort of critique. he’s just doing this for his own edification and for the pacification of his audience, so they can wipe their hands and think “well i did my good deed for the day,” which amounts to harassing a man that was harassing someone else. he said it himself, nothing will change.
Fun fact about the Two Fat Ladies they both admitted they were pretty drunk whenever they drove the motorcycle AND hated each other and when one of them died the other wasn’t allowed by her family to sit in the first two rows at the funeral

Former pawn shop guy here: Pawn shops charge a monthly interest rate (here in TN its insane, like $25 per month per $100 loaned) so the APR really is an insane number like 1200%. I will say that TN in particular has insane rates compared to most other states.
